Service was great, but the food was not good at all. My daughters curry was almost all rice. Vegetables were undercooked. I got the beef bulgogi and it smelled/tasted rancid. It was almost all rice, a few slices of rancid beef in a sweet gravy, topped with raw vegetables. I paid $16.00 for inedible food. Ended up throwing it away. I was so disappointed.

As someone who’s been to many other larger cities with renowned Thai food this place surprised me with the quality of chicken and rice they put out, even had the wife’s pad Thai was extremely well done! I can’t think of anything I would have changed to make it better so bravo to the chef and make sure you give this place a try if your looking for quality upscale Thai foods because this was spot on!

the guy that cooks is kind. i got chicken pad tai. the chicken was NOT chicken. it was soft and squishy, for a minute i thought it was tofu. also serving size is really small for $16 plate. it’s honestly more convenient to just go to raleigh to get ripped off.

The red curry is sooo good! Little kick of spice blended with creamy, yummy goodness. I like the crunchy vegetables on top and being able to dunk them in the gorgeous sauce. I got such a huge portion that I’m excited to eat it for lunch tomorrow too. Keep this place in business!

Back at Old North State Food Hall again!This time there’s this Thai restaurant, of course I’m going to try it out!We ordered Shrimp Pad Thai *spicy* and Shrimp Tempura. Shrimp Tempura was nicely coated with thin layer of batter, very juicy and crunchy, it came with sweet dipping sauce. Shrimp Pad Thai was very good and spicy! They can make it none spicy or little spicy, I counted the amount of shrimp lol 6-7 shrimps. I hate it when you go to some restaurant order shrimp dish it only has 2-3 shrimp in it! but not at Nai Thai Express! I will definitely go back and try their Tonkatsu Ramen with Pork belly!
