I called ahead of ordering to make sure hush puppies were going to be included with our meals, drive 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back…got home, NO HUSHPUPPIES. Pick up was easy, but forgotten items or false information is unforgivable. The macaroni and cheese was the best I’ve had at any restaurant other than The Oak in Raleigh. The baked beans are also very good, but a little too heavy on the smoky side. My spouse really liked the ribs, however I wasn’t aware that western sauce would actually be poured onto the ribs into the to go container, very messy and very watery. Western sauce is very thin, so usually most restaurants put it in a dip cup. Not the case here. The Brussels sprouts, also extremely good. The pulled pork was great, by itself. The most important part of the entire bbq experience is the sauce, and their western sauce needs help. It was more eastern (even though they have an eastern sauce) if you’re accustomed to short sugars, hurseys, Henry James, any of the long standing local amazing bbq places. You will not like this “western” style sauce. It’s heavy on the vinegar, and falls way short on flavor spice and sweetness. It’s basically red vinegar. Aside from the higher prices, not so great sauce, and the forgotten hush puppies the food was palatable, and I would consider going back..however me and my spouse both were stricken with terrible headaches about half an hour after finishing the food, both of us are sensitive to MSG. It’s the only explanation I could find being we both got a pretty intense headache after. Not to say that they use it, but if you have any sensitivities I’d advise asking.

Very friendly professional staff I learned about this place doing a delivery so took upon myself to give it a try so the ribs I would say is a 9/10 Mac n cheese is cheesy but not bold 7/10 hush puppies 10/10(BEST)-grill chicken 9.5/10-Creamy slaw 7/10 house made bbq sauce 10/10 drinks like tea 7/10 overall 8/10 with customer service being 10/10.For 2 ppl you will spend more than $50 so a little expensive but worth it.I will be back great job guys

If you are within 30 miles of this place and are looking for a delicious taste of life in the south, drive your car to this place. It is worth the drive. We drove through town this weekend and stopped for lunch on Saturday. We’ve been before and purposefully planned our routes to take us close enough to justify a stop. As we pulled in, there was a sign on the door. My heart sank and I feared the savory brisket I’d been thinking about for days was going to be just a wish rather than reality. The sign read “Take Out Only”… there was hope. We ventured in, and were greeted by a very kind and polite gentleman who explained that due to a number of call outs, they weren’t able to provide table service. No problem. We can be low maintenance as long as we can get that brisket and Mac and cheese! We ordered all our favorites and sat out at the picnic tables to enjoy the fall sunshine. Our meal was delivered out in a short time and was amazing. Smoked sausage was a family favorite and the Mac and cheese is absolutely legit. Their Brussels sprouts are the only ones my family will eat- ranch and bacon makes everything better!! Hush puppies with corn inside hit just right. Don’t sleep on them. Seriously love this place and hope they continue to be successful so we can continue to enjoy the fruits of their smoker. Give them a try. You won’t be sorry!

The food here is amazing! The portions are large and the recipes are great! You must try the bbq and get a side if the brushle sprouts! The load fries and hand bread pickle apps are great. The waitresses we had are so nice. This place would have a line around the door if people knew about it! We live 1.5 hours away but when we tell you we went back the next night after our first time... it was that good!

Mini sampler was great, recommend the chicken and ribs. Servers were extremely nice, helpful, and patient with kiddos. A changing table would have been helpful for our little one but to no fault of the owner, just a recommendation 😊
