Can't beat this little drive thru. My burger was great, an order of fries is ridiculously big, and prices are very reasonable for today's times. Our first time stopping in for supper on the first evening at our new house, and it was a great choice.

The pricing, huge quantity, and freshness can't be beat!! We had fried oysters and shrimp. Both were delicious. My only complaint is that I wish they had a canopy and a few picnic tables so that you can eat right then and there.

If you are headed into the Outer Banks and don’t stop in and eat at El’s East, then shame on you! Food is amazing, service is even better and I can’t remember the last time I received more food for the money. If you’re coming or going hungry, that’s your fault!

We had the pleasure of finally driving down to El’s East yesterday. Holy cow! We knew we were in the right place when we could barely get our truck in the parking lot. At one point my husband counted 23 cars in the lot. We decided on the El’s shrimp burgers when ordering. We quickly noticed how many people had Philly cheesesteak’s so my husband went and added a separate order. The cheesesteak was one of the most authentic I’ve tasted. It was all absolutely delicious and our service was the best we’ve ever had down that way. So good that we just had to let you know. We enjoyed our day together so much and we’ll definitely be back as time allows. Thank you El’s East.

You've got to try their deep fried hamburger bun and all. On Thursdays they have shrimp tempura and tempura vegetables... my favorite.
I have gotten the shrimp burger and the super shrimp burger, both are great and I believe the size difference matches the price difference which I appreciate. The hush puppies are not seasoned like others, but they are cooked perfectly and are great with a dip. The onion rings are fantastic. Mine were hot and crispy with a great flavour.
Update 02/07/25: I haven’t gone back in a while. Quality isn’t there like it was and the prices have definitely gone up.
