Agave Azul Modern Mex & Cantina

Well, it’s pretty pricey, but it’s very good food. I’m horribly disappointed in the chef/owner however as he was going to be a guest chef at a local private military lodge and he canceled… not once, not twice…but 3 times and was requesting payment of $25 up front for a margarita and a steak fajita. Left a lot of us with a bad taste in our mouths.

I stopped in and the front desk staff were very nice—my order came out quickly. I got the carnitas tacos, which were decent, and a side of guacamole. Unfortunately, inside the guacamole I found an entire produce sticker (the kind with the barcode that goes on avocados). This should really be made more carefully to avoid things like that ending up in the food.

Took our sister out for her birthday while vacationing in Topsoil. We were pleasantly surprised by this place and really enjoyed our food. The poblano queso is fire too :) i would definitely recommend for anyone in the area who is searching dinner options. The ambience and service was a big plus on top of the yummy food. Brooke was an outstanding server.

Took my daughter there for her birthday! Service was great but the food left something to be disired. I ordered the Picahna Tacos. It comes with a large piece on a skewer. The first one I got was literally grey it was so over done. I asked for another one and when they brought it back it was so raw I couldn’t even tear it with my teeth. The food is normally awesome here but wasn’t very pleased this time.

This is definitely the most Gringo of Mexican restaurants that ive EVER ate at. No Mexican or Spanish rice for one, just white rice with corn in it, super Gringo on that one. A majority of my reviews are of a Mexican restaurant, im always picky with jalapeños but cooking them with seeds is a simple task. This was a huge let down. My quesadilla was average, no queso ontop, i was given a cold seedless pc cup of jalapeños. The server kept our drinks full and was friendly 95% of it (when i brought up the cold jalapeños there was 2 seperate visits to our table of eye rolls). They messed up on the jalapeños twice and I just settled with not eating them. To put in to reference this restaurant is as Mexican as a Susan wearing a sun visor cap waving a Mexican Flag saying Mehhhhhico. I do not recommend this American Food place at all.
