Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries

I like 55 but the burgers could use a little more flavor.

First visit for my husband and me. Ordered chicken tenders and chicken Philly. Food came out super hot, big plus for me. Chicken tenders were meaty and tender, fries were good, chicken Philly average. Staff was attentive and seemed happy. Some of the furnishings need repair/updating. Only drawback for me was a dog someone had inside. (Not a service animal)

Quick and fast. We eat after the beach. Perfect for that. Fun atmosphere for the kids.

The carolina burger is always my go-to! This takes me back to childhood growing up in the country and eating at the local restaurants of small towns in NC. Great place with great service!

We have tried to have Andy's/ highway 55 again because as I have said this used to be our favorite place to go. However the Sneads Ferry location has had no money put into it in the last 30 years. The ceilings are dripping with gunk, there's water stains everywhere, there's ants crawling on the booths, the booths are ripped, everything is just dirty, rusted, in bad need a replacement. Don't even get me started on the bathrooms. The food has become oversalted to make up for the less that you get and it is not pleasant to eat there any longer. The place is not clean, and for a Marine and a teenager to say they don't want to eat there anymore because it's so gross, says a ton. Who wants to eat with dirt hanging from the ceiling, ants crawling on your legs, sticky stuff on the floor where the tiles have broken and just grossness all around. The place needs shut down and hopefully someone that cares about it will buy it out and bring Andy's back to the glory that it used to be. Shame on the owner.

9/23 EDIT: while we have always loved andes, Highway 55, this past year their food has just been bad. We have actually stopped eating here for the time being not really sure what's going on it seems like they're hiring a lot of young people with nobody managing the place. Every time we've been in there it's like a party's going on but nobody's looking at the food that they're making. It has been extremely inconsistent, oversalted, and just bad. I hate leaving negative reviews for my local places but whoever owns Andy's, Highway 55 needs to step in and figure out what's going on. We used to eat here a couple times a month at least and haven't been back in 2 months.

PREVIOUS:We have been coming to "Andy's", Highway 55 for many years. This is our favorite burger place even over Five Guys burgers. Their burgers are always juicy, hot, fresh, and piled high with whatever you want. They also have homemade Frozen custard. If you don't know what that is you have to stop by and get some. It is the best stuff ever. Rita's has nothing on this place!! My husband loves that they have tots!! Definitely a family favorite restaurant of ours. The staff is extremely friendly and the cooks are good at their job. It can get quite busy in the summertime but it is worth it. If you don't want to wait call in your order!!

Cool old diner feel, great food that was hot and fast. We were a party of 9 and it was still very fast. The pimento burger was fantastic. Custard was also very good. Would definitely go here again if in town.

Hwy 55 is almost always good. Store here is a touch used. Some seats need repairing but overall its.good.

Great everything they could put need roof tiles in and re do the seats . But great place
