We stopped in for ice cream and it was superb! Especially the espresso chunk. The lady at the counter was very helpful and friendly. We quickly walked to the waterfront and sat in a swing and ate our ice cream. We will definitely stop again when back in this area.

This is a great place to have lunch, dinner and desserts!! The owner is very personable. This restaurant has a large variety of fresh food to choose from and everything I ordered was delicious. The prices are very reasonable too. The atmosphere is fun. Just like an old fashioned soda shop:-) It is centrally located on Bay street and the hours are great!

The lunch menu is very under-rated. The soups are made from scratch and the sandwiches have some of the most fresh produce I have seen in a while! This is THE BEST place for lunch in Beaufort. It is consistent and delicious! The lunch staff is very pleasant and I enjoyed speaking with them while waiting for my (made to order) meal! The ice cream selection is overwhelming in a good way! They offer over 40 flavors to include Sugar free and Dairy free options.

Recommended by mini bus tour guide, for a quick sandwich. We were pressed for time, quickly walked over, and were disappointed to see one young girl, working alone. She was busy taking and filling family's order including ice cream sundaes. So there was a wait at 2:30. We ordered an egg salad on croissant to go. Also got a small cup of ice cream for $4, which was good but was golf ball size. Cute, nostalgic ice ream parlor.

We’ve eaten at some of the so called upscale restaurants around town but many fell short compared to the Southern Sweet & Ice Cream Shop !!
