This was my first time going to Chapman. So I ordered a jam bacon sandwich with cheese, letruce and tomato. The side was French fries and a pickle. Beginning with the burger, it was descent, but I had better at kick back Jack's, in my opinion. However, the fries were bomb and would eat an entire plate of them. That is how good they were. I think we went at a busy time so the service was very long but our waitress was very apologetic to us. Recommend this restaurant for sure!

Great restaurant in the heart of downtown Southern Pines. The nachos, mahi sandwich and pretzels were on point.
We had lunch recently, crab dip 10/10, steak quesadilla 8/10 and cheeseburger 7/10. Quesadilla was great but very spicy. We were not aware or we would have ordered something else. Our server was polite but was not a good fit for the position in my opinion. We had to ask for refills, condiments and the burger was requested with no bun, it came on a bun so the burger didn't have cheese since it was all on the bun. The server asked about the bill and we said to put it on one and he came back with seperate bills. Not a huge issue either way but he wasn't as attentive as he should have been since it was slow. The food was prompt and more than filling for the price even though it was a little steep for lunch about 60$. Would recommend the crab dip!

A staple for downtown So Pines. Every time I visit, this is a must stop. It was the busiest I’ve ever seen it. Almost a 90 min wait. Yuck. The beers (5+) on tap are always local and legit. I had the waitress choose my plate and she landed on the Fish and Chips.. was legit. The beer cheese pretzels are also tasty. So many options on the menu. Apologies for not having more pics.

Food was good as always. My husband is a big fan of the French dip. I had the turkey lurkey. They turkey was delicious, but the sandwich could have used more cheese and condiments. It was dry. We were next to a large party, so it was hard for us to hear each other. That's not the restaurants fault. We should have asked to be moved.

So if you give me very little dressing, barb sauce, ranch or salsa to start And I ask for extra I get charged .50. Does that sound ridiculous? YES it is. Never again!
