This place has gone downhill and it shows as there have been few people there our past few visits. When I first visited Pinehurst 2 years ago the BBQ sandwiches were moist and meaty. The past few times (we tried!). The food was dry and the portions small. Plenty of much better BBQ places around like Embers and Pik-N-Pig.
If you're looking for decent Barbecue North of the Red River this is the place to go. The brisket is better than anything else you're going to find here in Moore County, and the jalapeno cheddar sausage is off the chain good!
I was visiting family in the Pinehurst area and needed to feed about 10 people so what better way to satisfy broad tastes among the group than picking up a smorgasbord of BBQ. Enter Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. Because it was a last minute decision I didn’t have the opportunity to call in my order. I opted to walk in, order and wait.
