Best seafood I've had since leaving Alaska! But I wish they'd bring the shrimp etouffee back. They replaced it with a seafood risotto, which is good, but not as good in my opinion, even if you ask for it to be spicy.

We really enjoyed ourselves. Oysters, teriyaki chicken, fried shrimp flounder and calamari were great. Our waitresses were fun as always!
We went for lunch on a Sunday, place was pretty busy but we got a seat within reason. Establishment could defo use a proper cleaning, at least the lady serving us wiped the bar b4 we sat down. They have maybe 1 or 2 tables, everyone has to eat at the bar with these absurdly uncomfortable chairs. The $5 bloody mary with their in house vodka ( get house vodka bc they won't charge you extra for it) was pretty good, heaps of flavor. I had an oyster shooter, it's not a single shot like I've had in Mexico or Texas.. but a good amount of liquid and oyster on a half shell. Idk why places here in the east don't just put the oyster in the shot but whatever. I had the "1/2" moon, which was 6 oysters on a Saltine cracker with too much horseradish ( as I predicted), hot sauce and jalapeños. I honestly only did this for a tie dye shirt. It wasn't spicy bc Americans can't make anything properly spicy, just annoying bc too much horseradish. With 2 drinks, 2 meals and military discount we spent $60, pretty average for today's prices and average for food. Don't recommend but also don't hate... just... mehPic shows 4 oysters bc I ate 2 before I remembered to take a pic.
Full moon Oyster Bar in Southern Pines is worth the trip to get there. I live an hour and 26 minutes away from it and we made the trip and set back and enjoyed a fantastic meal with my stepson and his family. The words out of his mouth were enough to verify my love for this place. Simply said he will be back.
