The Bell Tree Tavern

We were referred to The Bell Tree Tavern by a friend so 12 of us including said friend rode motorcycles there for lunch which included 230 miles of backroads! Service was top notch and the food was delicious! I would recommend trying this place if you haven't already. It is now on our motorcycle trips list for future rides!

Service was great. I had the prime rib, it was pretty good, but I have had better. The fried pickles were the best I've ever had though, they have it figured out, not too much breading. Place is a little bit loud.

I would like to give this establishment five stars but it fell short in so many ways. Service was nonexistent. No one likes a lackluster server who would rather be elsewhere. Food was okay. No type of sauce on the which made it dry. Although it was very plentiful. Little to no air-conditioning and the dining room was loaded with flies. Won't be back.

While it is difficult to please everyone, there are a few things that will make a restaurant stand out among all others. Customer service is one thing that you can actually control as a restaurant owner. We wanted to try a new place and found this tavern on our walk around Southern Pines. Stopped in and had to wait to be seated even though there were few patrons seated. Got to our table and, again, had to wait for our server. Ordered a beer (on tap) and wine. After another wait, a bottle of beer and no wine was delivered. Ordered appetizer and entree. Still no wine. Appetizer was brought out by kitchen staff but still no wine. Our server came by to pick up the dishes from appetizer and then we had the opportunity to asked about the wine. The attitude of the server was horrible as it was apparent that we were bothering her just being there. In all fairness, the food was good but at no time were we asked if we wanted/needed anything else. The air conditioning was almost nonexistent and while we enjoyed our food, we had to fight off flies the entire time we ate. While we have many restaurant choices in Southern Pines, the Bell TreeTavern will not be on the return list.

The food is always wonderful, staff are always friendly. Indoors it’s pretty dark so good for a bad weather day or winter but The outdoor patio is SUPER cute but smells a bit like garbage so that might impact the atmosphere. There are tons of fans which kept flies at bay and kept it cool. They also have a sunshade up so it’s nice and shady. Food is a little pricey but comparable to the area. Gives off a cheers sort of vibe. Cute apparel for sale as well. Recommend ! They have live music and a stage but I’ve only been for lunch.

We DoorDashed a meal from here, the food was great but what was best is they actually paid attention to the special instructions we requested. And did it very generously! We will be eating here again.

Positive changes to Bell Tree since I was last here pre-COVID. The food and drink were excellent, and the service was stellar. Well done! Very kid-friendly for lunch 😄
