Great home made ice cream. They have tons of favors to pick from. Friendly staff, and a great location to grab a cone when you are in the downtown area. It gets very busy in the summer weekends but worth waiting in line for sure.

While the Ice Cream Parlor wasn’t our first choice for a quick bite to eat, we were pleasantly surprised.A cute corner building off the main streets of Southern Pines, which sports a bright and fun atmosphere that appeals to all ages, would be the perfect spot during the warmer months to stop for a sweet treat.Upon entering the building, we acquired a table that had just been vacated, and a worker immediately came over to wipe off the table before we could get settled in.The food menu was extensive, despite my first impression of it being an ice cream shop, and there were about 20 different flavors of ice cream to choose from.We both ordered the All the Way hotdog, minus the slaw for mine, and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had his with the slaw, and he commented that it was the best hot dog he’s had in a long time. I also ordered the Coffeehouse Cookies and Cream milkshake, which was blended to a smooth consistency that could easily be sucked through a straw. Everything was delivered promptly to the table by the friendly employees.We were there at about 5:15 on a Tuesday, which seemed to be a sweet spot for quick service. It was only a few minutes after we arrived that the lobby was full of families.Since I only had two items, I only gave four stars, but I would love to go back and try out other food options and ice cream flavors. If you need something quick and simple, this is the place to go!Parking: A few spots were available during the time we were there, a Tuesday evening; however I could see it being more difficult on the weekends to find parking without having a short walk.Kid-friendliness: Fun and bright atmosphere that’s appealing to all ages. The music was mostly appropriate (no curse words or extremely explicit phrases), but there was an occasional song I was surprised to hear. I assume it was a random playlist from Spotify or radio station.

First time trying, sent my bf to pick up the food. Apparently they thought it would be a good idea to give him the ice cream immediately, so by the time he got the food 30 minutes later, then drove it to me 7 minutes away, I got melted sugar. Went back to ask them to redo it and they refused! A kids grilled cheese and CSfries was $8-something, cheese was stuff but bread very greasy and soft. Fries were good. Got a bowl of soup, luckily it stayed warm but many bites were hard like the soup bits were not cooked long enough ? expected much more from them.

I love taking my grandsons here for their ice cream treats. The ice cream is delicious and fresh tasting. Occasions, we order burgers and fries, which are plentiful and yummy The staff is always friendly and it's such a cute location

We explored Southern Pines over the weekend. After having dinner, it was so hot I suggested ice cream to my husband.There was a little bit of a wait, but when I got up to the counter, I made sure to ask if they had homemade ice cream because I prefer it. It’s the smaller area that houses the homemade options. After tasting a few. I decided on the strawberry homemade ice cream, and it was really fresh tasting and good! I could tell that it was popular because the young woman was scraping nearly at the end of the ice cream container.My husband went with something from the Hershey’s ice cream section. I have never liked to buy ice cream that you can buy in a store from any ice cream parlor.I am so happy they had homemade options.PS there was a lavender option. I have some friends that would love to try this!Check it out!Enjoy!

Great parlor, friendly staff.. great atmosphere … Mt hubby and I looked up ice cream places in the area as we were going through oh the home from a Dr. Appt in the area…it did not disappoint… small place but plenty of seating outside or if you just want troll the street and find a park bench like we did and enjoy the evening..We will stop again on the next trip through.
Great food and amazing ice cream. Every time I order the same thing. The turkey bacon wrap and french fries. My only issue with the food is the fries. They are incredibly bland and they even admitted to adding no seasoning at all. The other food is very good! Drinks are nice, a decent variety. A major issue is the flies. There are so many, even inside as I write this flies are buzzing near me. Overall it's a nice experience, just the flies.

My family stops by the Ice Cream Parlor for lunch and ice cream quite often. The food is always great and the ice cream flavors are perfect. Never had a bad experience. Places like these are rare and should be cherished.

Folks that run this place are pretty much the definition of family run, small business. Brought my mother-in-law here, when my kids and I were visiting her. She's in a local care facility, and you would have thought I walked in with a celebrity. The folks running the place knew there were issues, but they rolled out the red carpet for her, and us, and there were a ton of people already there. The staff were caring, and it made the visit that much more special. We'll be bringing her back here whenever we visit. Also, for those who care more about food; I had their house made coffee ice cream, and they seriously knocked it out of the park! Great local business, run by genuinely kind folks, who happen to make outstanding coffee ice cream!
