It’s an ok place to go but not worth the money Don’t order the shrimp and grits. It’s not enough grits and very soupy. Belltree has better there’s other places you could go.

Very mediocre experience. The table all had burgers that were not great. I had the no name beef tip dish which tasted ok but there we 5 beef tips a few mushrooms and 2 small dolips of mashed potatoes. The dish was mostly a gravy or sauce. I had to ask for a spoon because you couldn't eat it with a fork. I'm a super lite eater and it was not enough.

Hands down one of the best spots in the area. British feel and American touch. The food was really good. Our server Morgan was awesome. We will be back.

I have to voice my frustration with this place. We normally frequently here for dinner but we tried their brunch menu on St Patty's Day. My husband and I ordered drinks and two menu items per person. The service was slow, waited 15 minutes for a mimosa and bloody Mary. We ordered French toast and a waffle. It was two pieces of sandwich bread for $18 and a smashed waffle for $20. It was same quality you would expect from the Best Western. Then we had poutin and some other egg dish, absolutely sub par. We will not be returning.

Lunch was delicious! We decided to come here because Eliot's on Linden is our all time favorite restaurant and we heard that it's owned by the same man. It was a great environment, good food, good service, and great prices. We will absolutely be coming back.

We are here visiting and decided to try the Sly Fox Pub on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't crowded so we expected a fairly quick meal. We ordered the Shepherds Pie and the Fish and Chips along with a house salad with goat cheese ranch. The food we great - we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the service was slow. Not bad, but slow. We were there for over an hour.I'd definitely come back if I were in the area, but not if I were in a hurry. This is a place for a leisurely meal.

I was very disheartened by my experience. We were stuck in a back room alone and forgotten it seems. Waited 10 minutes for someone to come take our drink orders. When we got our drinks we went ahead and ordered. It took nearly 45 minutes to get our food meanwhile no one came to check on us the entire time, so no refills. $8.50 for about 20 pieces of argugela and a tiny piece of bread. The Sheppard pie was burnt on top and way too sweet. The tripled fried fries were cold and limp.

The atmosphere is great. After that however on several visits the food and service just don't hold up. Definitely won't be a first choice.

Brunch menu had great sweet and savory breakfast options along with lunch options. We ordered the Bloody Mary, Guinness, Pub burger (with added cheddar and bacon) and The Lazy Pig.The burger had a great grill flavor, the bacon was thick sliced, and I like the crispy onions on top. The French fries were homemade and very tasty. My husband had The Lazy Pig and it was delicious but a little messy to eat wirh your hands. More of a fork and knife style sandwich. The breakfast potatoes were also delicous.

Excellent ersatz British pub located in Southern Pines. Cozy like a British pub would be across the pond, the interior has wooden tables and chairs, a lovely wood bar, lots of space, couches - and tons of union flags and union flag designed items. There’s a stand with British cookies candies and foods. The menu has many favorites - shepherds pie (lamb, beef is cottage pie), pot pies, curries, and more. The beer list is extensive and mixes local beer with world options. The whiskey selection is great too. Food is very good, and service is outstanding. Was in for a lunch on Thursday the 22nd Feb and there was one person handling the dining tables and she was incredible. Didn’t rush us, but was attentive, helpful, informative, and made us feel at home (which is of course the point of a proper pub). Sure, no beer engines (hand pumps for cask ale) are here and without it, it can’t be a true British pub. And sure the thrice cooked “fries” aren’t proper chips which should be thicker with a crispy outside and soft inside. And the mushy peas were just okay. But I am nitpicking - in a world where ersatz Irish pubs abound it’s nice to find a British one and one done this well deserves applause. I hope you try it and enjoy it as much as we did.Note: they have fabulous desserts including bread pudding and sticky toffee pudding, two genuine British items. They offer black pudding as a side and it’s good. The lunch menu is large but the dinner menu is even broader! There’s a lovely outdoor space.
