Small brew works, 100% focused on quality beer. They need you to show up to continue brewing quality beer. My advice? Show up! This place is awesome. A gem in small town NC mountains. Know how lucky you are to have a brewery of this quality in your back yard. A+ all day long!
A really cool brewery in Sparta, NC. Good beers, friendly staff and seating inside and out. Occasionally have live music and food trucks. An additional plus for being pet friendly.
Good staff and great locals go to this brewery. The beer is mediocre and served in a smaller glass, not a pint. For what they charge you should get a full pour.
Great beer, friendly staff, and dog friendly patio. What else do you need? A great place to have a beer and relax.
Great place to gather in the evenings with live music happening all the time, great drinks, and an amazing atmosphere you’re sure to have a good time. The indoor and outdoor seating make the area feel spacious and comfortable. The bartenders and quick and make great drinks. I highly recommend.
Solid beers all around. The beer was fresh, the lines were clean, and the price was great.
A must stop in Sparta! Railyard Pilsner is so good, one of my favorite beers! All of the beer we’ve tried has been of high quality. Laconia is pet friendly, kids are fine just bring something for them to do. We really enjoy visiting when we come to town.
Really fun craft brewery with plenty of seating and also dog friendly.
Music by Chad Cox and a Railyard Pilsner. Two thumbs up!
My favorite place ever!

Awesome as always. Great weather and great music and awesome beer.
I haven't tried all of Laconia's beers....yet, but I can highly recommend the Dark Lager if you like dark beer. Very tasty! Laconia hosts an open mic on Wednesday nights and I've been fortunate enough to play there three times. It is in my top 2 of the most friendly rooms to play in that I've seen. It feels like a big family gathering. Many thanks to Jason and Michael for emceeing!
We enjoyed great craft beers here and wonderful service.
It's the only brewery in Alleghany County, and it's getting better all the time.I really appreciate the fact that they brew lots of traditional styles. For one, you can't hide anything behind a simple recipe. It has to taste good. They come through.Secondly, there needs to be a place in any town where one can get a selection of craft beer on tap that comes in below 5% ABV. This is the essence of the pub.Let's see where we go in the next few years.
Cozy and modern, great beers mostly on the lighter side. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, very clean and well kept! Highly recommend for smaller groups. Great patio for nicer days.
