A must stop in Sparta! Railyard Pilsner is so good, one of my favorite beers! All of the beer we’ve tried has been of high quality. Laconia is pet friendly, kids are fine just bring something for them to do. We really enjoy visiting when we come to town.

VERY good beer. Friendly folks. Pretty patio plus indoor space. Food from outside is welcomed. We had 2 types of beer -- BD's (IPA) and strawberry hibiscus. Both great. Will be back :)

I haven't tried all of Laconia's beers....yet, but I can highly recommend the Dark Lager if you like dark beer. Very tasty! Laconia hosts an open mic on Wednesday nights and I've been fortunate enough to play there three times. It is in my top 2 of the most friendly rooms to play in that I've seen. It feels like a big family gathering. Many thanks to Jason and Michael for emceeing!

It's the only brewery in Alleghany County, and it's getting better all the time.I really appreciate the fact that they brew lots of traditional styles. For one, you can't hide anything behind a simple recipe. It has to taste good. They come through.Secondly, there needs to be a place in any town where one can get a selection of craft beer on tap that comes in below 5% ABV. This is the essence of the pub.Let's see where we go in the next few years.
Cozy and modern, great beers mostly on the lighter side. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, very clean and well kept! Highly recommend for smaller groups. Great patio for nicer days.

Overnight stay in Sparta had us looking for some beers after a long day of motorcycle riding. This place was right down the street (practically next door to our motel) and was the perfect destination. The space is really warm and inviting. Great indoor and outdoor space. Pretty good beers. Great bartender. This will definitely be on our agenda when we return to Sparta.

Wide range of craft beers plus other beverages for non beer drinkers. This was open mike night and the music was as good as the beer! The place was slammed but we grabbed a table right down front. This is a great addition to the high country brewery scene. Highly recommended!!
