Had a delicious brunch with great service at Little Seed on Saturday with my family. We enjoyed the bagels, pancakes, and the sweet potato/chickpea fritters. We will definitely be back and will also go early so we don’t miss the loaves of sourdough to go!
The food is amazing and true Southern hospitality. They had our groomsmen for breakfast the day of our wedding, catered our bridal parties brunch the day of our wedding, and supplied some of the best BBQ with sides for our rehearsal dinner. Everyone loved it!

I’ve been a fan of Steve’s food since the days of Steviemack’s food truck in Wilmington. Add in the incredible bakery and the vibe of Sparta’s downtown and I was in heaven. I had the vegan pho, jalapeño cheddar bagels, dill pickle sourdough, and sweet potato and chickpea fritters - all SO good. Can’t wait until the next time I’m in town so I can fill up on some great food.

What an amazing find this was. Nestled in the back on an Antique mall in this small North Carolina mountain town is a gem of a restaurant. From the friendly staff to the welcoming atmosphere and of course, the delicious food this is an absolutely fabulous place. It was a bit chilly when we visited so i opted for the Vegan Phở. I've had this dish all over the place, including some of the best places in NYC and this was hands down the best I've had - it was simply scrumptious. Everything we ordered was superb including the Mediterranean salad, sweet potato and chick pea fritters, apple tart and coffee. I asked to speak to the chef. Steve came out and we spoke briefly. It turns out - no surprise here - that he lived in Hong Kong and worked at some of the finest restaurants in NC. I pressed him for the his Phở recipe and he did share his key ingredient with me. Also spoke with his wife and co-owner Jill, the pastry chef for a bit. What an amazing couple and what an amazing place they've created here in this quaint little mountain town.
Vegetarian options: Plenty of options for the non-meat eaters. Everything we had was veg and it was all delicious.
Parking: Plenty of free places to park in the street out front or in the back lot.

We had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely wonderful, staff were amazing and so nice! Bread with olive oil and balsamic, very different I’ve personally never had this but it was delicious. Both had the Pho one vegan, one with the brisket. Brisket was very tender, very flavorful. Couldn’t resist a sweet treat before we left so I got the apple tart and the owner gifted us a oatmeal scotch ( i believe )

A Hidden Gem in Sparta
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Little Seed kitchen and bakery in Sparta and was absolutely blown away. Despite arriving late for lunch, the friendly staff welcomed us warmly and promptly served us.
The food was simply outstanding. I had the pho with brisket, which was flavorful and hearty. My mom opted for the Mediterranean plate and sweet potato fritters, and she couldn't stop raving about how delicious they were. Both dishes were beautifully presented and arrived at the table in a timely manner.
What truly impressed me was the affordability of the meals. For the quality and taste, the prices were incredibly reasonable. It's a refreshing change to find such great value in a small town.

I visited Little Seed on their opening day, and I already can't wait to eat here again! The restaurant owners updated the space in an old building on Main St and created a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere, with a gorgeous mountain mural and thoughtful touches throughout. I tried the Sweet Potato Fritters with a sweet curry, and it was delicious. And oh my gosh, the chocolate chip cookies are perfect!
