This is a great slow food option right here in Sparta, NC.The food took me back to so many experiences I've had south of the US border, as well as many excellent restaurants in CA, AZ, NM, and TX.It's a great spot to relax by the Little River and enjoy some pretty authentic Tex Mex cuisine. I'll be going back and taking friends.Make sure you have time to slow down and enjoy the experience. So many senses to absorb!

The prices on the menu didn’t match price I got charged. Over charged by 25% more than when I said something they said “oh the processes increased” well might want to update the menu!!

If you can find them open, it's a good place to try. Just not open

Nice spot. A few miles off the Blue ridge parkway. Friendly helpful people. A mixture of Cuban and Mexican and Spanish and not really tex mex. Lots of interesting places to sitEnchiladas were tasty. I think the sandwich may require the mayo to be interesting. Reasonably priced and quick service.

This has to be some of the best Mexican food I've had here in NC. If you are ever in Sparta, this is a MUST stop and eat, you won't be sorry you did, only sad if you didn't :)

Great low-key restaurant with yummy food and good prices. Nice owners and staff. One of only a few restaurants in the area open on Mondays.Dietary restrictions: Good options for gluten free & vegetarians.

I get their Chicken burrito bowl without beans and it is so good! Only thing negative is they need better parking. But that's it. Enjoy

Lunch special was Cuban Piccadillo. It wasn't bad, but I've had much better. Black beans & rice (Moros) lacked flavor. I believe it would have been better to get them separate, and mix the black bean juice with the rice. Daughter & son-in-law got a chicken sandwich, and a Cuban sandwich, and they said both were good, with the Cuban being the best. Chips and salsa before the meal were very good. Had to ask for a refill on my tea, and my son-in-law's water was never refilled.

Juan & Marcela were great! I was visiting my grandmothers and we had their special of the day (bistec encebollado with sides: yellow rice, black beans & maduros). We took it to go, it was your typical Latin portions (container stuffed with food), more than enough for leftovers. I also highly recommend you try their cafecito, I prefer it sweet but you can get it regular or without any sugar. A must have if you’re ever in town.

We passed this place in the morning on our way to paddle the New River and decided we would stop by to try it for a late lunch on the way back home if they were open. All I can say is, "WOW!" Prices, portions, and quality of all our meals was phenomenal. Service was great. Very unexpected find for the mountains of Northwest NC. If you are in the area, please stop by.
