First of all the staff was outstanding and very polite. The Brisket was a little dry and definitely needed the sauce, the pulled pork sandwich was good, but next time I’ll put a little coleslaw on top to make it better. A true gem of Spring Lake. Not only is this a great place to get a good quality cut of meat for the grill, but a fantastic choice for lunch. Their lunch menu is primarily southern bbq with your staple fixings. I, a South Carolina boy, immediately ordered the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and coleslaw and it was phenomenal. Seriously, for right around the same price of your typical fast food restaurant, you could be eating a meal here that feels “real” and not “manufactured.”...
Considering I’m from NC I would have expected it to be better than it was. It was lacking in a few areas. The chicken was a lil under cooked in my opinion and lacked flavor. BBQ sauce was given to add on top. The baked beans were good, and the mac-n-cheese wasn’t bad but was a lil dry or in need of a lil more cheese. The ribs were quoted at the wrong price by the cashier per bone but no biggie. The ribs were tender but lacked the true bbq/grill taste and were flavorless....
