Been to Oregon, been to Washington, all of the “coffee havens” that people mention within them, and this place’s coffee just blew my mind. Very welcoming and while they were out of most food items by the early afternoon, that should really only indicate how good this place is!

This is a great place for coffee and hanging out.
Due to Helene, full menu was not available - no running water. Coffee choices were from bottled water.
They excel in espresso! I don’t go for the fancy stuff, so a double espresso was the choice. And it was fantastic!!
The staff was great- welcoming, friendly, persevering through the hard times in the community.
You gotta go here!!

Visited from Ohio. If I could give more starts in the food category, i would. The bagels can't even be done justice with words. Unbelievable. Made fresh. Litte sea salt, plain cream cheese, and your life will never be the same. Latte was 10/10 for sure, those bagels, though . 69/10. This area could use tourist support. I had no idea how heavily they were affected by the hurricane. They don't even have running water because of the storm damage and still provide unbelievable coffee, food, and service. WORTH YOUR STOP.

Such a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in the door. I was here for disaster relief and was my first time at this shop and the gentleman at the register helped me pick my drinks and let me try an amazing vegan cookie with a great attitude and personality. Coffee and food was amazing. Highly recommended.

Mushroom soup was truly awesome.
Came to the Fox and Fig for lunch with Danika from Sibelco while visiting Spruce Pine. Had the Spring Salad and either Scarlet Berry, Hibiscus Berry or Blueberry Rooibos Tea. The salad was fresh and delightful! I loved the teas so much that I bought some from Rishi Tea and Botanicals, Milwaukee, WI, as soon as I got back home to Buffalo, NY. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Spruce Pine. Such a beautiful area❣️

I loved finding this little coffee shop while going through Spruce Pine. I’ll be back when I go through once a week!
I got a cappuccino which was awesome and the bagel was fresh. The only thing I would change is that I would have liked capers on my lox bagel.

This is by far my favorite place in Spruce Pine, and safe enough to say all of NC. Talk about a phenomenal breakfast bagel sandwich (Eggie bagel Sammie). My fiancée called her chai latte “the best she’d ever had” and my traditional latte was on point as well. I’ve had their French toast (made on fresh in-house baked bread), their breakfast tacos, and a few other things and I keep coming back for more. Their staff or “team” I should call them because they truly operate like a well oiled machine, is 5 stars on their own. Great and friendly owner is often manning the register as well. Keep doing what you do! See you guys and gals soon.

We visited the area for a quick weekend getaway. This was my favorite location there. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was amazing and I left wishing it was close enough to home so I could visit again. Coffee was prepared perfectly and everyone we spoke too was friendly and seemed to just really enjoy being there. I had a monte crisco sandwich and it was delicious. I’d go so far as to say one of my best experiences eating out in years.
