Visiting from Florida, I am used to Cuban coffee shops. I walked in and asked for something not on their menu, a Cortado. They knew exactly how to make it. I’ll be driving the 20 mins every morning while I’m here for this espresso. Not even Starbucks knows what a Cortado is.

Probably the best food and consistency in Spruce Pine, along with the Thai place on lower street...thats about the only places that Id go back to after being around here for 6 months

I had a wonderful sandwich Sunday after church. Though the breakfast menu looked tempting, I went with the Sassy Turkey. One of the best turkey sandwiches I have ever had! Toasted english muffin bread, with chilled roasted turkey, whipped feta, four fruit jam, mixed greens & a drizzle of sassy balsamic with your choice of chips.
Great over all experience and friendly staff, too. Come check it out!

Visited Fox & The Fig today with my mom and sisters (and my 8 month old) and we very much enjoyed our time there. The decor and vibes were amazing.
Food was delicious (and very accommodating to our various requests and needs), and I really appreciated the diapers and wipes available in the bathroom for the baby. 10/10 experience. Will definitely return.
A true coffee shop. Fox and the Fig is one of those hidden gems. Real espresso, americano, Cappuccino, and Latte's. Not to mention fresh baked breads, and other bakery items along with a great breakfast menu. This is not Starbucks or Dunkin. It's real.......

The coffee and food options are really good ! The wait time is a little longer than expected though but that could have been just a busy Saturday

Bagels are tasty but small. $11 for a breakfast sandwich is just crazy! Drip coffee was good but my cold brew was acidic. Everyone was very nice.
Great food and coffee. We ate there every day of our stay in Spruce Pine. Fresh baked bread and bagels and real barista's. Great and friendly staff.

I waited over 40 minutes for a tea and a bagel. I needed to cancel my order because now I was late for an appointment. The owner claimed I was next in line but I know 5 other people who were in line before me we still waiting. I asked him to just cancel the order so he wouldn't waste the food. He assured me he would refund my card but never did.
