This establishment is so awesome that we went 2 nights in a row during our short visit to Spruce Pine. Excellent menu with superb cooking and presentation, great staff and wonderful atmosphere. BeeSting cake alone will make this place famous soon.

i had pasta fagioli soup (more like a stew), gerkinsalat (cucumber salad), and jagerschnitzel. all was excellent. we were too full for dessert, but the chef also prepares desserts.

The service was thoughtful and personal, both the chef and owner checked on us. The food was delicious and the best thing was that the portions were just right - both for adults and children - so that we actually all shared a few desserts and were satisfied, not too full and having to take back boxes of uneaten food! Just a wonderful evening! We were so happy that I did forget to take photos.

Excellent food, atmosphere and service. The owners are very friendly and accommodating . All the other places we tried were closed for various problems, and even though they weren't open yet the owners seated and served us.

Absolutely a disgrace to Italian food.It took over an hour to get our food despite a half empty restaurant and fully staffed staff. We asked for some bread because I’m pregnant and literally gave us some Walmart buns that were toasted. Tasted like cardboard. Even this took 15 mins.6 adults on our table and not a single one of us had a good meal. Pasta marinara was tasteless and watery with pasta undercooked - health hazard especially when you’re pregnant.Stuffed mushroom were gross! You only get one mushroom for $9!!!!All of us left our food uneaten aside from a few bites.When we approached the manager to let her know of our experience she was extremely rude and nonchalant about the entire thing showing that this happens frequently. She kept repeating how her other reviews prove that they have good food (which you can see her reply to all one star posts with the same comment over and over and she will do the same with this)Terrible place. Save yourself money and time and just eat at a fast food chain.As a person who travels to Europe annually, this food is not even close to Italian! More like microwavable frozen food from Walmart!

Absolutely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. I have tried several things on the menu and it’s always fresh and delicious. Gustoso has the most creative menu items and drinks. Would highly recommend any day!

My wife and I and one other couple enjoyed a great meal this evening at Gustoso Ristorante. My friend raved about his German dish, I had Italian, and both ladies had the chicken parmesan, which was also excellent. The wait staff was friendly but not intrusive, and the Chef/owner came out to see how things were going. We would definitely go back when in this area. We did some shopping and made some purchases in the stores, and were quite impressed with the looks of the downtown area.

Wonderful little restaurant with delicious food! It’s nice to find a French/Italian/German place in an area you weren’t expecting one, and then the food turns out to be fantastic as well! The Bee Sting cake was also delicious and something different that we’d never tried before. Great service as well. Fun stop when you’re passing through the area! Not too busy for a lunch stop.

We went here for an anniversary dinner. Everything was perfect except we asked for the salad dressing on the side and it came on the salad. But the salad was sill good as they didn't overload it with dressing.

The food here is delicious and for our appetites, perfectly portioned. We liked everything we ordered, the eggplant lasagna and the shrimp pesto pasta but felt the tiramisu could do much better. Overall it was a lovely dining experience.
