What an excellent meal, I had the Shrimp and Grits, being from the coast, having a marina sauce surrounding the Shrimp and Grits was totally different than what I'm used to. Was excellent! Wife's Shrimp and Fries were good also. The ambiance was great also. Chloe the bartender was attentive and friendly. Give this place a try, we enjoyed it. We will be back.

Great food at the old place but these hours are ridiculous at the new place.
My wife and I drove out from west Asheville to meet some friends that live in Burnsville for dinner and decided to grab dinner. We have only ever eaten at one other place there so we decided to give this place a try.
The staff was incredibly nice and very pleasant to talk to, and the weather was really nice so we decided to sit outside which was enjoyable.
For our meals my wife ordered the special which is Reuben eggrolls and they came out right from the fryer and was delicious and the dipping sauce complimented it perfectly. She really enjoyed it.
I ordered the Carolina Cuban as a Cuban sandwich is one of my all time favorite dishes and I was a bit disappointed. Overall it was ok, but I guess I was expecting it to be more flavorful because it said it had slow smoked jerk pork and yeah it had great smokiness to it, but that’s it. It didn’t have any jerk profile to it whatsoever but still it was good smoked pork which is still a win just not what I was hoping for. Also I’m guessing maybe the cook staff was in a rush because my sandwich was barely cooked, as in it wasn’t even room temperature, it was somewhat cold which was a big disappointment. My wife checked it and offered me one of her sections of egg roll to have.
I didn’t send it back because it was prepared as it should just there was no temperature so it is what it is. Overall we would try this place again, but the Cuban is a one and done. It’s definitely not worth the price point that it has at $18. That’s a $12-$13 sandwich at best.

My boyfriend and I were on our way to Asheville after a wonderful hike and decided to stop and have lunch here. The people were super friendly and the food was absolutely delicious! Where as they don't normally allow pets on the their patio due to the smaller space, I do have a service dog and they were more than accommodating for my little guy, as I did not want to leave him in the car on a hot day. We did forget our leftovers, but the flatbread (The Carnivore, I do believe) my boyfriend ordered was so yummy that we decided to turn around and get it. Thankfully, they had saved it just in case we had decided to return. We were very delighted that they had. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience and we will definitely be back again and mention this restaurant to others! :)

This gastropub was so chic and the food was amazing! My husband got the trout BLT which was fantastic, the shrimp and grits were great and my boys just got french fries which have to be the best fries we've had in YEARS. I LOVED the decor, which is updated and not reflected in the pictures on google. GREAT lunch!

This is a new restaurant in town and it’s amazing. We have already come twice for dinner. The service is excellent. The ladies at the front always greet you with a smile. Atmosphere is great. The decor is well done.
Seating is a bit tight but not a problem.
I wish they had more options in their menu.
The Cuban sandwich was very flavorful. The burger was ok. Jerk chicken Alfredo was delicious…the chicken was so good.

I've been eagerly awaiting the opening of Live Oak Gastropub in Burnsville, NC, and they absolutely did not disappoint. During their Pop-Up Sneak Peek, we were warmly greeted by Deanna, the owner, whose passion for the space was clear from the start. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance struck the perfect balance between cozy and stylish. Looking forward to many return visits once they're fully up and running!
