Captain Tom's Seafood and Steaks

Grew up driving regularly all the way from Sanford to eat here. My extended family that lives even further in Moore Co would meet us. A family affair. Sweet memories. Sometimes you don't know what you got till it's gone. Our backup, Mama's Kitchen is closed for good. All I can say is I have 6 aunts....the oldest being 89 that are praying for more road trips to Captain Tom's Seafood. Your employees were great. Food was excellent. Affordable. Clean. Hard to find it all in one place! We wish you a speedy resolution for a grand reopening.

Love this place. Best fried Oysters ever. Lightly breaded and not greasy. I will be glad when you open back up. My 88 year old mother is ready to come back for Oysters and Flounder. Thanks for great food!!

Drove from Asheboro only to discover this restaurant was closed. I realize it's labor day weekend, but it's Saturday. This has occurred multiple times. This restaurant operates on their own schedule. They may be open or they may not be, depending on how they are feeling, apparently. If you do decide to go make sure you call first.

For 58 dollars and some change for 2 ribeye steak dinners one would think they are about to eat top notch food. This couldn't be farther from the case for me. Charcoal steak with salad not fit for rabbits and toast that had to actually be a 2x4 board. Only part of the meal worthy of human consumption was the baked potato.

Service was great. Food was wonderful. Was there last night for a wedding rehearsal dinner with about 15 people. The waitress did an amazing job.

Amazing and delicious food with a family owned restaurant. They have achieved the American dream with how good and loved their food is. Come here if you want to be happy.

They have a great selection of seafood choices and the food is always good. I like the way they have a line around the building for curbside ordering and pickup. As well as a large dining room. Staff is mostly friendly and helpful.

Food was fantastic, service was great. I would definitely recommend. The combination fried platter was better than places I've eaten at the beach.

Excellent food and staff, the best seafood you'll get anywhere around. The Firecracker Shrimp is a must try. You can tell the owner really cares about his food and restaurant.

The food tasted all alike.The shrimp, tasted like the fish, the fries, tasted like the fish.... The food came out hot from the kitchen. Very greasy, if you held the plate on edge the oil would drip off. The size of the portions were small for the money for the plate.

Amazing restaurant with a lot of sea food options. Jalapeno poppers and firecracker shrimp are must try. Very friendly staff and a decent menu pricing.
