We came across the pond from Washington state. To our N. Carolina family they call this restaurant Kim's, i found that they served food I never had before. It was so amazing as they allowed me to try stuff. We had some great laughs, I had never heard of or experienced liver mush. Not to bad with mustard. Fried bologna was great! I experienced things I had never experienced and the evening girls were amazing. Thank you honestly for one the highlights of trip. Your restaurant means a lot of our family.

Hope ya like hamber, hamburger steak or chicken tenders. Very limited menu. Our hamburger steak had a hair in it and the tea was sour.

The beef tips are great! The cabbage has good flavor and is soft. The tea ain't overly sweet and the coleslaw is creamy. Good country cookin.

This morning I decided to go to Stanley Kitchen with my 17 month month old.

They were busy when I got there so I had no issues waiting for my order to be taken (makes sense). Around 15 minutes goes by and the waitress, came by take my order. Nothing fancy 3 eggs fried flat, bacon, grits, toast. Tea and milk to drink.

In the following 15 minutes several tables begin clearing out and the traffic inward starts to die down a bit (people still coming in, just like 3 or 4 tables). Around 30 minutes after ordering I went to the waitress and asked if she'd check on my order since it had been 30 minutes (and kiddo is getting agitated because he is hungry). I sat there for another 17 minutes with no updates.

Like I didn't even get a refill the entirety of the time I was there, I mean straight up nothing; even after the request to check my order.

So 47 minutes after I ordered, watching other people's orders come out, and obviously they hadn't even started mine... I decided to leave.

This is not where my story ends though. My son and I get up and walk out to the car; while strapping him in his car seat, one of the waitresses comes out and tells me my food is ready and asks if I want it. I declined because I can't see paying for a near hour wait on what should've been an hour breakfast in total.

Idk what's going on in the kitchen, but they seriously need to evaluate their processes.

Some of the best country cooking I’ve ever had. I’ve not had a single item that wasn’t on point.
