This place has simple country cooking, nothing fancy, but plenty of dinners for less than $10 with a meat, 2 sides, and bread. Very nice staff.

Why, when it is 47 degrees outside, do you have the air conditioning running?Service is hit or miss. if you go for breakfast, you’ll have pretty good service if you go in the evening be prepared for chaos.Tonight, after 20 minutes, I see your food sitting on the counter, and the waitress literally did anything but bring the food to the table. after waiting so long for the food and sitting in a freezing restaurant, I decided to go to the register and see if they could pack it up to go, but even standing at the register, they were clueless and ignored me. So I walked out.Last night two families walked in after me, they were brought their drinks and placed their food orders before the waitress ever came to our table.Like I said, if you go in the evening, expect to be there a while and expect subpar service at best.I usually go 2 to 3 times a week for breakfast and a couple of times a week for dinner because of convenience. It’s no longer convenient. I won't be going back.

New restaurant just outside of Stokesdale towards Madison. Simple dishes that satisfy. The feel is family owned, they are just getting legs and hoping flavor and service continues to improve.
