The stuffed flounder is the best meal I've ever had in my life!! Hubby says the pasta is his best meal!

Don't like the stairs, but the Patrice Pasta was worth going up those stairs. I've had pasta at several restaurants on the island. They were all over cooked and very gummy. Beauchaines was perfect!
Absolutely delicious!! Will definitely be back!❤️

My wife and I had an enjoyable dinner here recently. The service and atmosphere were great. Furthermore, the food was generally good, although for the price point we felt like it wasn't anything particularly special. Altogether, I do recommend this restaurant and would go back again.

We had a very good experience and the food and service were outstanding! Started with some crab dip which made for a good shareable. The stuffed flounder was well prepared and I loved the cream sauce and green beans/haricot verts. There were 4 of us. The scallop entree was amazing with a large fried rice ball. Another entree was the salmon which was a huge serving, maybe slightly over cooked but very flavorful. The last entree was the shrimp and grits and did not disappoint at all. It was also a large portion. Desserts included the tres leches which was not made in house but wow it’s a great dessert and I loved the little sugar pearls in there. The tiramisù was a little different but great flavor. I think there’s almond extract in there. The brownie dessert was huge and I’m not sure if it’s because my friend doesn’t do dairy and skipped the ice-cream but it’s delicious! There’s parking in the back. Good selection of wines. Go in lower level door and there are 2 levels of dining inside.

Just wanted to take a moment to shoutout our waitress, Angel. She was so sweet and took care of our table. Angel was welcoming and always kept a smile on her face. Before we got up to leave she actually mentioned that her mom just passed away. Angel, we just wanted to say we are so sorry for your loss - the fact that you’ve still been able to keep a smile on your face says so much; I can imagine how proud she is of you. We will be back! - Bumgardner (Bummy) Family

Can't believe we are just finding this place. OMG it was delicious! The tuna sashimi was on point! I got the scallops and my husband got the stuffed flounder. Every bite was so good and flavorful. Finished with tiramisu and that was some of the best I've had, and that says alot since I am pretty picky according to my husband.

This place is old trying to be historic. It needs help! Everything in the place feels tattered, used, second hand, and a second thought. The food is great, but the atmosphere and ambiance don't match that standard or the pricing. Service was ok, but not great.

Celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary there last night. Food was excellent! Staff was wonderful. Will be back when in Surf City.

Made a reservation for 7:15. Got to the restaurant at 7:00 to find a note on the door saying they were closed. They had our phone number, but didn't even call to tell us they had to close.

We have just left your restaurant after hoping to have celebrated my husband’s 50 year anniversary of retirement. We had the worst meal of our lives! The steaks were charred and way overcooked. The potatoes and carrots tasted like they had been cooked last week. Way too salty and mushy. We will never come back.

Cocktails came 3/4 full. - for $15, glass should be full. Crab dip was almost all cheese, not authentic at all. $45 Filets were overcooked, and had an awful charred taste that literally made me gag.
Service was ok. Way overpriced for the quality!

So I first want to say our waitress and food was good. It was worth the money. The young girl working at the hostess stand was less than enthusiastic to be working and greeted us in an attitude like why are y’all here. The atmosphere is not that great…it is small and intimate but chairs are uncomfortable and it’s just not what I was expecting. Again, the food was good but not excellent.

Food was just okay. $5 for a bread basket. Really? Menu was fairly small
