Me, my husband and two of our friends went last night for dinner and got chicken, shrimp, sushi, and some appetizers. Everything tasted and looked fine at first until a bug crawled onto my husband’s plate and hand. It was gross, yes but we killed it with a napkin and continued with our meal cause stuff happens. I’ve seen bugs on floors before, sometimes it happens but it definitely grossed us out a little when it climbed onto the table then onto my husband plate and hand. We slowed down on eating and were having convo with each other when my friend found another bug crawling onto her phone that was sitting on the table. At this point we all stopped eating and decided that two bugs crawling on the table was gross enough. We asked for the check and it took that staff around 20 minutes to bring the check which is a bit long but again stuff happens. While waiting for the check, a third and fourth bug crawled across our plates and we killed all the bugs with napkins, leaving them with a written note explaining we had to kill four bugs during our meal. This was our first time trying it and sadly we will not be returning. It was honestly very disgusting and I’m sad to give a local business a poor review. But I want to share our experience just incase others are thinking of visiting or have had similar experiences.

Vegan veg fried rice (& low oil) was Excellent! The Orange tofu was also very good.

Me and my companion went for the all you can eat lunch special, which they offer from 11AM-3PM ($19.95). The options on the AYCE menu featured 30 different types of sushi rolls -- but many of them were on the cheaper side/were not special rolls. On top of this, the only appetizers that were available for the AYCE special were miso soup, clear soup, and salad. I have been to plenty AYCE sushi places from Buffalo, NY to Lincoln, NE to San Francisco, CA, and everywhere in between. Almost all of the places I have been have offered far better menu options for a comparable or even cheaper price. I don't think it would kill them to add Kani/Ebi singular sushi along with appetizers such as seaweed salad, shrimp tempura, and crab rangoons to the AYCE menu. These are standard at every other AYCE place I have been to.

That being said -- the sushi is good, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The miso soup was outstanding as well. They do not overload their rolls with rice for the AYCE special, which is much appreciated. Just wish that the AYCE menu offered more options for the price.

Vegetarian options: It is a sushi restaurant -- they have vegetarian rolls.

Parking: Smal parking lot in front of restaurant.

Kid-friendliness: Restaurant is fine for families. Low-key and nobody cares -- all on vacation time in Topsail.

Worth the drive over the bridge even though I live right by rainbow king. The only Chinese food I’ll get around here and it actually tastes good. Get the plain lo mein and orange chicken

Taste like grocery store sushi and the Rangoon had hardly anything in them. Wouldn't come back.

My date and I have had their sushi in the past which was very good. We tried 2 Chinese dishes in our most recent visit that were good not great. Lacking a little bit of flavor. We had the chicken and broccoli combination and the sesame chicken combination. Both are healthy portions with enough for a take home meal. We both also had the hot and sour soup which was good, not really spicy and about 90% to the serving’s expected temperature. We call it warm and sour soup now. Overall, good in a pinch. We’ll likely stick to the sushi menu going forward. We’ve also tried the chicken pad Thai in the past that was not top 50% we’ve ever had.

Parking: Dirt lot parking without space markings.

If it’s busy order takeout. We sat at a table for over an hour waiting for our sushi while takeout orders steadily went out the door. Good sushi otherwise

So many unique sushi options that tasted extremely fresh. LOVED the fried Dinosaur, lobster, alaskan, and crab rolls. The classic Chinese takeout options on the menu were also delicious as well. The crab rangoons here were AMAZING. Thin and crispy outside with a sweeter cream filling if you like your rangoons that (the correct) way.
