Walk in and stand there for ten minutes while employees walk right past you without even acknowledging your existence much less the fact that you want to be seated. Also, unclean men's room may indicate an equally unclean kitchen. If I owned a restaurant I would have the bathrooms checked every half hour! I was here a year ago and the service was better. New employees? New manager? When these things happen, the fault lies squarely with the manager.

Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday. They have a nice little parking lot with free parking. The inside is quaint and cute. A decent amount of seating! The menu has lots of different sushi rolls and some other entrees. We ordered an appetizer of Rangoons that were very crispy! We then ordered two specialty rolls! They were pretty yummy. The food came out very quickly and the workers were all very nice. Prices were average ~$16 for each specialty roll. Overall a nice meal!

Food was good. Service was slow with us being there in the middle of the afternoon with no customers. They brought one person's plate out at a time. About 5 minutes apart for each. Never had them do that before.

The reviews made us think the food would be good. Sushi tasted like it had been sitting out and the salmon looked questionable. The tempura was soggy and the vegetables tasted undercooked. The ginger salad tasted alright but had one cucumber slice on it. Do not go here if you like good sushi.

This is the best restaurant in Surf City; the food is outstanding! It offers the finest sushi I've ever tasted, with swift and friendly service. The entire ambiance of the restaurant--the atmosphere, the energy--is simply delightful. Even during off-season when it's less crowded, the service remains exceptional. If you're seeking excellent service and the top sushi in the state, this is the place to be!

From the outside, i did not think much of this place, but once i tried their sushi..WOW! Service was friendly and welcoming and we tried a bunch of different types of sashimi + a few different rolls. The sushi was soooo fresh. Everything was better than the prior piece. Worth checking out.
Great food and customer service! We ordered the rainbow roll, edamame, sesame chicken and gyoza! The best gyoza and sushi we've had since moving to NC!

Love the food and service. The sushi is great, lots of hot items to choose from as well. Service is courteous and fast. We go every time we're on the island. To go orders have always been spot on. It just looks a little run down and intimidating from the exterior. If you can get past that, it's well worth the trip.
