FIVE STARS to Daybreak Donuts! We totally enjoyed our hot-off-the-press donut with maple syrup glaze. Dozens of selections—so everyone will be pleased. Good service, too, and lots of fun, wearable merch in the store. Our cottage was less than a mile away, so we walked—easy access points from the beach. If you’re driving, when you exit the bridge onto the island, turn right onto Topsail Drive. Daybreak Donuts is beside Sunrise Bagel (think meal + dessert), less than two blocks on the right on the sound side, before Raleigh Avenue. See photos…

I loooove donuts, but not these ones. I’ve tried this place multiple times hoping for better results, but the donuts are just meh. I don’t know if they need to wait another minute before putting the toppings on or make the glazes a bit thicker, but the glaze and toppings always fall off. The donuts crumble and are hard to pick up. It’s also pretty hard to distinguish between flavors. They write them on the box and even after trying them I still can’t tell which is which. It’s sad this is the only donut place around…

Oh my goodness best donuts I’ve ever had! So sad we don’t have one of these in GSO! Tried the Bluberry, Pumpkin Pie and Original with honey glaze. Why are they so yummy!!?😆😆They were so light, fluffy and they make them on the spot so they’re warm and fresh! Would definitely recommend!! 10/10 would go again!!
Some of the best fresh donuts you’ll ever try. They make them fresh to order and the just melt in your mouth. My partner and I come here all the time for some sweet treats before hitting the beach. You will not be disappointed.

We come from Tennessee and visited daybreak donuts this morning. We really were not prepared for the absolute blissfulness of these wonderful breakfast treats. The staff are very kind and efficient and get your order out as quickly as possible, even though there is a crowd of people lined up for these treasures. I had the black forest donut, and my husband had death by chocolate. I cannot stress enough, how wonderful these donuts were. We don’t have anything like this in our city of Tn! This made my donut craving morning 10 tomes over!!

I’m a donut fanatic and this place was sooooooo good. The donuts were hot and freshly made to order, and came out quick! We tried a bunch of flavors and I know this place will be a staple. We got lemonade, salted caramel, banana cream pie, Black Forest, Bongo’s blueberry hill, and strawberry shortcake. I also got the seasonal flavors Dutch apple pie and pumpkin pie, which are in the pic. I also bought a cute crewneck and I’m gonna wear it later this week to get my free donut. The girls working were very nice and helpful.
