burgers are awesome! nachos too

waited 10 mins for server. actually had to ask host. nachos were gross and not the ingredients listed on menu. fish n chips are 23.00! fries were cold and hard. waited 15 mins just to get change from our 100.00. manager never said goodbye or thank you when he was looking right at me leaving 5 ft away! place use to be great.. not any more

To be honest, it after hours to order food, but the hostess was very generous and offered us seats and served us awesome food. She AND her staff were so inviting and I only hope we tipped her well enough.

Good food and service. Fish wrap and fried pickles were amazing! Cocktails could've had less ice and more booze. I got the fried flounder and it was delicious but heavy on the grease. They were out of the ice cream to accompany our chocolate lava cake, waitress said she would discount it as a result. She didn't and I forgot to check until after we were home.

Not busy, one server which he did the best he could.
Football on TV, nothing else going on, food was just ok, pretzel bits were toasted with no flavor. All soda and tea was $4 bucks, beer cheaper than soda? Food over priced and took WAY TO LONG TO COME OUT.
Probably won't return.

We went early, so there was no wait. Food was good, but spicy (which I like but my wife didn't). Menu was limited. They had a fair number of selections, but I guess I was not in their target audience (sports bar food). Service was ok, but slow ... maybe the kitchens fault ... I don't know. I am reviewing it it as a restaurant, but it's really a sports bar, I think. So if you're looking for sports bar food, the food is maybe pretty good. Prices were high $20+ for most meals, but what restaurant isn't these days. All in all, for our taste, we'll be going elsewhere in the future.

We saw pretty good reviews, so we gave it a try. It wasn't busy when we were there. Most of the patrons were watching the football game. As were we. The waitress wasn't the best, didn't know the menu, never came back so we could get another drink, nothing to put our shells from our seafood tower in, came with napkins after we finished our meal, also brought me the wrong meal at first.The seafood tower was lukewarm. The crab dip was awesome, the best part of the meal.The young lady that was cleaning the tables had such short shorts, her butt cheeks were hanging out, not to mention when she bent over. It was a really bad experience over alland I am usually easy to please.

Bartender was nice but the food took forever to come out. It’s just Typical bar food here. Would love to see more seafood at a beach restaurant. We ordered the wings, shrimp basket, and shrimp hibachi bowl. The wings were in the same basket but different temperatures. Shrimp basket is how you would expect. Fried shrimp and fries. Shrimp hibachi bowl had some kind of sauce that made us not want to eat it.

Like some of the other reviews here. This was our least favorite experience eating out while we were on vacation. First, we had to wait even though there were open tables. After waiting we were seated and waited even longer. While we were waiting again, we decided to take some family photos and one of the waitresses was kind enough to offer to take one of all of us. The waitress we actually got unfortunately was not nice at all. We ordered our food and waited more... when our food finally came, mine was cold. I only ordered a bowl of soup. I told her she ran away with it and brought it back, again not pleasantly. No apology, nothing.

We decided to stop here after seeing the great reviews, and I’m glad we did—the reviews were spot on! The food was solid, typical for a tavern and grill, but what really stood out was the service. Our waiter mentioned they were short-staffed and that things might be slower than usual, but honestly, it felt quite the opposite. The service was fast and incredibly attentive. While the food took a little longer than usual, given the circumstances, it wasn’t bad at all. This is definitely a must-visit spot when you're in Topsail!
