This is the third time I’ve been here in the last month and a half. Staff is rude. The entire place runs at the slowest pace I’ve ever seen in fast food. The nuggets always taste like burnt oil. Today I can through with a mobile order and asked for sauce. They said to wait til I picked up my food to ask. So I did. They asked me to move to the last window and they’d bring my
Food out. The kid that brought it out went to hand it to me and I asked if the sauce was in there since I wasn’t at a regular window. He looked dead at me and said yes. There was no sauce in the bag. Had to park and go in and he acted like it was a problem to give me sauce. Y’all really need to get your people trained. It’s the winter here. The slow season. There’s no reason that this is an every time occurrence or that the people need to be so damn rude.

The people at the store are very rude, be lucky if your order is right and it's very nasty inside. Save your time go to the one in Hampstead

Picture this: a 73-year-old dad piloting a Super Duty pickup, accompanied by his 31-year-old son who was actively auditioning for the role of “Patient Zero” in the 2025 Super Flu sequel. We set out at 8:00 a.m. on a noble quest to find an urgent care center capable of accommodating a larger-than-life, half-delirious adult child.
After several medical pit stops and much wheezing from the passenger seat, we were finally headed back to the Bitchin’ Beach House—only to be stopped cold by Walgreens, who cheerfully informed us that the Tamiflu would be ready in just over an hour. Perfect.
I was starving. My son, hovering somewhere between life and the afterlife, wanted nothing to do with a burger and fries. But desperate times call for questionable decisions, so I ordered a double cheeseburger and medium fries.
Friends… I have not eaten at McDonald’s in years. Apparently, neither has my digestive system. The burger tasted less like food and more like something engineered to survive reentry from space. Clearly, recipes have evolved. Or devolved. Hard to say.
By the time I retrieved the prescription and made it home, my stomach was staging a full-scale rebellion. I sprinted to the bathroom and promptly returned the entire meal to the Onwasa sewer system, post haste and without remorse.
Phew. Lesson learned. Some things are best left in the past—like disco, leisure suits, and whatever that burger was made of.

I live within walking distance of the Surf City McDonalds. I usually don’t buy there because my order is never correct. But tonight I was in a hurry, somewhere to be and I was running late. So, Drive through order. They have a sign before the order menu. I see a crispy chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato. I get to the speaker and order the deluxe chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato. Meal. Seems simple enough to me. “Do you want a, b, or c?” I want the chicken deluxe with lettuce and tomato and mayonnaise. “Do you want a, b, or c” Which one is the deluxe with lettuce and tomato? That’s what I want. I usually don’t eat McDonalds so I don’t know the menu. I ask “which one has lettuce and tomato?” Silence. What beverage do you want. COKE. “Will that be all?” I say no. Which burger has lettuce and tomato. She gives me the choices. Only 2 Big Mac, I said no. I want the other one. Said I also want a small chicken nugget for my dog. “Do you want the 6, 10, or 20 piece?” I repeated the small! At least the coke was right. I called the store from Surf City Park (boat ramps) Ask for the manager. Explained the problem and said “I only stopped there tonight due to time constraints “ He started to say something, I interrupted him and said. I didn’t call for a refund or an apology. I called to inform a manager the reason I hardly EVER eat McDonalds even though I can walk there from my home, because I never get what I order. But you really don’t care. This place rates just above road kill. And hung up.

Waited on my food for twenty minutes. It wasn’t a big order either. Ended up having to go in and get a refund instead so I wouldn’t be late for work. Fast food shouldn’t take twenty minutes.

This is the most ill prepared fast restaurant I’ve ever been to. You wait in line forever to place order then wait to pay and then they have to open a new pack for biscuits and gravy yet again another wait. Never again!

They always seem to close early for cleaning. So not really open the hours they claim/have posted.

Done with this store. It is seriously a crap shoot they get your order right. Tonight was the last screwed up order for me. 2 double cheese burgers. both no pickles no onions. receipt showed it was taken right but instead of saying without those they put it only cheese, ketchup, mustard. both had no pickles but I think someone was screwing with me as one had onions on one level the other loaded with onions on all 3 levels. top of burger, middle of patties and more on the bottom. Last week was the only other time recently I went there and wanted a sausage mcmuffin. Got an egg mcmuffin.

First of all, I know it’s McDonald’s okay? I don’t come here for a nice sit down meal. But when EVERYTHING is bad… that’s just wrong. Chicken crispers were overcooked, fries were overcooked and unsalted, the burger was lukewarm and even the Dr. Pepper was watered down and bad.

This location closes their grill/cooking equipment before their posted closing time. I pulled through the drive thru at about 10:25pm on my way to the Wilmington Airport to pick up a friend from a late flight, and was told I was limited to ordering dessert items.

Kind of defeats the purpose of being open until 11pm...

I would say that this I a mediocre McDonald's the food is ok I got ta double quarter pounder with cheese ketchup and mustard there was basically no ketchup or mustard which was sad but the burger tasted good. I don't know about the service or atmosphere because I ordered take out I also got fries and they were ok a bit to salty but not to bad. Overall this place is ok and I think it's fine to go to.
