I get the breakfast sandwich, eggs over easy, cheese and a sausage patty. I’ve ordered this before at other restaurants and NYCD is the only place that gets over easy right. Gooey and runny, just the way a perfect breakfast should be!
Of all the places on and off island, this is the one to go to. Highly recommended! 💕

Doing a happy dance on my restaurant stool! The pastrami on rye was so good! My husband had the NY style hot dog as it was top tier! We loved our food and experience here. We will definitely be back!

Parking: Entrance and exit of parking lot are in different areas, so navigating is a bit tricky at first, but overall parking is plentiful.
Wheelchair accessibility: Outside sidewalk has a ramp, and there is a patio style eating area outside. Adversely, the door is difficult to open and the main seating area is upstairs, with no elevator.
Popped in Sunday afternoon to grab some lunch. Young lady who took our order was friendly. My complaint isn’t about the customer service but really just the establishment and quality of food. This place was dirty. I don’t know what it is about carpets in restaurants or diners but when they’re dirty, caked on black smut, it’s just gross. Tables upstairs had not been wiped down by employees. They’d been cleared by customers, that was evident, but not wiped down after people had finished eating. We picked a some what semi clean table and realized the napkin holder had three napkins in it. Garbage can upstairs was full, so dropping my food in to trash wasn’t gonna work, had to push my garbage down with it. As far as food goes, my french fries were soggy and cold. Some of them looked like they had black stuff from a grill or something on it; not burned or over cooked but just black stuff from a grill. I decided not to eat anymore after trying two of them. I ordered the BLT and the mayonnaise wasn’t spread on, more like a blob in one spot and bacon was over cooked and one piece so hard, when I went to bite down, felt like I was trying to eat a small rock. I did finish my BLT and it was ok. I want to like this place but I’m a huge fan of clean establishments because to me it says everything to me about how they’re willing to handle/cook food in the back where customers can’t see. What I saw out in the open wasn’t clean. I would even be willing to come back and try a different sandwich but cleanliness is lacking at this place. Sorry New York Deli.

Jason the owner is a deadbeat... I feel sorry for his wife and children... I leave it at that for now.
Loved their home fries and my dad really appreciated the gluten free bagel option!
