Great local seafood tex/mex walk up food stand essentially.Food is great, haven't had a bad thing on the menu and I've tried it all. The menu is pretty small but that keeps the service time with quick turn around. Highly recommend the the coconut rice in whatever you get.Prices are fair considering you are in central Surf City in the middle of everything touristy.Atmosphere, the seating is all outdoor covered and uncovered picnic, rail counter or small table seating. I don't know I'd say it's good for large parties and it's not a formal eating place.Highly recommend Shaka Taco, just wish the location was easier to get in and out of sometimes.Parking: There are 2 small lots for parking next to the building but they are hard to navigate if you have a large vehicle.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a handicap accessible ramp to the ordering window and they will bring your food to your table after ordering.

Cool place. Pretty standard pricing; not too expensive. Great atmosphere and the food is always amazing. The Hampstead location is good too, but this location is my favorite. Plus it's right next to the beach. Staff is always friendly. Check out this shrimp and fish taco... So good!

My husband and I went to North Topsail for an extended weekend getaway and this was our FAVORITE place to eat while we were there! The shrimp taco was amazing, and loved the fish taco, too. Even their salsa was great! Something about the combination of salty air and walkup TexMex that make it amazing!

We got takeout tacos and chips. The rice and beans were great! So was the fish taco. The chicken and steak tacos were alright. I could see this being a fun hangout restaurant but I’m not sure it will be a repeat restaurant for us.

Cool place to eat ..... it's on the road. outdoors and close to the beach - so it's like the Jersey shore (but clean). I went with the chicken TACO BOWL for about $10 and a glass of water. Good portions and satisfying. If you buy the chips and salsa - it's unlimited refills. Service was hippie friendly and relaxed. Bunch of boat tailed grackles were around to entertain! I'd go back again - - and you should try it ......Parking: Parking is available around the place for free .... this is for off season. It will be more challenging during the summer.
