Great local eatery.
Came down here for a weeklong vacation and ate here every chance we could! The absolute best service, and incredible food. We sat at the bar with Dan and Annie and they were both amazing. 10/10 service, and extremely patient and helpful in helping us figure out drinks/what we wanted to try. The food was equally amazing. We cleaned house on their fresh oysters (Topsail Jewels are a must). We tried every oyster they had on the menu, the steamed clams, mussels, crab dip, grouper, lobster, and more. Everything was an absolute hit. There wasn’t a morsel left on the plates to go back to the kitchen. Seriously cannot praise Dan and Annie enough for their outstanding service and friendliness! Can’t wait to come back and see them again and have more amazing food!
Always enjoy going there when I at Topsail. Great Service and food
I was very surprised how fresh and delicious our food was. Put this place on your list of visiting for lunch or dinner.
this restaurant never disappoints. I am a local here and we frequent the shuck and shack a lot. their lobster bisque is the best around. oysters are always amazing, never had anything that I didn't absolutely love. highly highly recommend!
Went to Shuckin' Shack tonight, 11/10/24. Our waitress was amazing (unfortunately did not catch her name) and the host/bartenders were very friendly as well.
Selection of six different raw oysters -- all from North Carolina. I opted for 4 of the Currituck raw oysters, which were amazing. Cost was anywhere from $3-$4 per oyster. We got the Seafood Trio sampler for the table; crab dip was delicious, shrimp were great as well. Calamari seemed a bit overdone, but that's fine, stuff happens.
Finally, I finished off with the Grouper, which was a special for the day. Was very good -- wish they would have fish grilled instead of so many deep-fried options, though. Regardless, there wasn't anything to complain about in regards to the Grouper.
Overall, great experience and will return next time I am in town for sure.

Possibly the best oysters I've had in 10 years, super fresh. The service was quick and on point. What a hidden gem.

Ordered fish & chips, to include lobster roll and topped off with calamari for take out. Service was exceptional, sat at the bar, watched from several TVs. Short time later my food was done. Alot of laughter from other customers, a pleasant place to dine, have a beer and mingle

Worst meal I have had in a long time. I had the buffalo shrimp which are normally my favorite and it was all I could do to get them down. My husband ordered the blackened shrimp with fries which he didn’t eat, so we lefty there to go find him something else to The shrimp were slimy and the fries soggy and gross. That was the second time I tried this place and my last. And they didn’t have our favorite beer. EDWARD TEACH!! That in it self is a good reason to not go back.
Almost always our first stop when we get to town. The shrimp and crab legs are the best around. Fun atmosphere with friendly staff. Recommended for sure.
