Great little bagel shop! The bagel sandwiches were great and the staff was friendly even when slammed. I do recommend calling ahead to put in your order.
Food is good but very disappointed in the system. We ordered a bagel and the employees sold the rest of the batch to people in line behind us before they made our order. We ended up having to order a completely different meal. Owners did great with daybreak. Wish they’d fix this. I’m not one to leave reviews but it’s unfair my sister chose and paid for her order and then they proceeded sell it out to others.

The cashier was nice. Short - sweet - to the point while offering options and such. Atmosphere is too small to rate much higher than a 3 star - I mean, you provide a place to walk in, order, and stand which meets expectations. Food was fresh. You can see them cooking and assembling on the flat top while waiting. Issue: flies on the bagels. Ordered, paid, and only then did we notice the flies. Bagels are displayed on hooks and in open baskets which isn't very sanitary when you have flies coming in. This was mentioned 10 months ago in a different customer's review; need to address the issue.

You can't go to Topsail without getting a bagel at Sunshine Bagel. There is always a line and there's a reason why. The bagels are so fresh, Tom's of flavors and come so many ways. My favorite breakfast bagel is the Shoreline. Love spicy and this one is delicious and fills you up! We also got some bagels for breakfast. Last time there, the kids passed on getting one... until they saw ours. Definitely worth the line and the wait.

This place is not worth the time or the money. I paid 30 dollars for 2 bagels. Asked for taylor ham and cheese...they gave me 2 slices of Taylor ham and 1 slice of cheese. Is this a joke? The Other bagel was one of their main menue items and still messed it up which it supposedto have GRILLED ONIONS and they were raw. If you want to over pay for a bagel go to this place. I am soooo disappointed. Picture speaks a thousand words

Bagels and cream cheese were awesome! I definitely recommend the asiago bagel with scallion cream cheese. There's no place to sit inside so don't plan on eating indoors, but there's benches outside of the building.
Love this place - we spent this past week on the island and visited Sunrise twice, both for breakfast sandwiches. My husband got the sausage, egg & cheese on an everything bagel & and I had the breakfast wrap (eggs whites, cheese, sausage & hot sauce). I’d love an option to throw some fresh veggies into both of these & the parking lot can be challenging (& subsequent wait time, if you hit it during peak hours) but otherwise - great shop, great food.

I was left wishing for more. We have always wanted a bagel place on the island and this just doesn't hit the mark. I got a toasted pumpernickel bagel with strawberry cream cheese. It was barely warm and definitely not crunchy or toasty. The cream cheese coating between our bagels was wildly different and mine had very little. I think there are a few small adjustments that could be made and it would be better!

Nice place on the inside, but bagels were not great. Not dense at all (very pillowy, which is not what I’d expect for a bagel. Very overly sweet flavor (even for just a plain bagel).
