Some of the best brisket we’ve ever had!! Love the food, love the owners and staff! A Surf City staple!

Not what I expected in a "BBQ" joint from my state. My wife and I are local and originally from here and decided to give it a try. Decor is dated but I've eaten bbq in a lotta different states, in much worse condition. The food makes all the difference in a good bbq place. Got the fried chicken and pork BBQ combo. Food was hot, but lacked seasoning and flavor. Chicken had non existent coating with no other flavor but oil. Pork BBQ was not smoked. Was not seasoned, other than a small amount of eastern sauce. Menu seemed a little scattered as well. Everybody tries to do some seafood option around these parts. Not necessary if you're calling yourself a BBQ joint! Stick to great BBQ, the kind the Carolinas are proud of and ditch the rest.

Fried chicken is delicious. Sauce for the pork BBQ is sweet. Not traditional eastern BBQ. Not southern potato salad, but it's good. Dill /mayo based.

Definitely eat here over cowfin if you don't wanna be sick later, country style restaurant with good BBQ, stuff all over the walls for the kids to look at, good country dishes

The Applewood Smoked Chicken was delicious. The Brunswick Stew and Hushpuppies were good too. The Sweet Tea was weak for a southern sweet tea, please add some more sugar since we live in the south.

One of the best BBQ places I’ve ever eaten at. Delicious food. The server was a sweetheart. I wish i remembered her name so I could mention her. Blonde girl. She told me where I could buy boiled peanuts. I live in Utah and we don’t get this good of BBQ there.

The absolute best southern food around!! This business is managed by a great Christian family and they built this business on those same Christian values and that is why they have such a huge amount of repeat business from locals and tourists!!
