I've been here a few times and it's always a nice experience. It feels a little more touristy based on the surf city and topsail beach merch also for sale but has a great selection of ice cream flavors and a large menu from burgers and candy to milkshakes and soft serve. There's both inside and outdoor seating that have a fun atmosphere as any good ice cream place should! I'd say it's worth a stop if you're in the area and needing a sweet treat to cool off with!

Just decided to drive a few hours to the beach as part of a day trip with family. Hungry early dinner time. They have delicious looking ice cream and shakes. We got food instead. Burger Combo with fries. The burgers were huge. Made to order. The fries were the shoestrings hot and fresh. Enjoyed our times. Also has a few items to browse in the store.

Iâve been here twice after fishing and wanting something very refreshing. The first visit we got shakes, they were pretty good but it took almost 20 minutes to make 2 shakes. There was no sense of urgency on the behalf of the young lady working. The second time we visited was this past weekend and we wanted to try the hand squeezed lemonade and orangeade. There was a young man working and he said it is not fresh squeezed and that they didnât have the orange. We could clearly see multiple oranges in the squeeze machine. So we went with was cherry and strawberry lemonades. Total was approximately $15 and the drinks, unfortunately, were so sweet and tart we couldnât drink them and got them to go so didnât go back in. The atmosphere is really great inside, very cute but the customer service experience and product just was not up to par.

The outside and inside was nice. The ice cream was ice cream. The girl taking our order was terrible. Our family came in(there was 7 of us) and she had trouble taking everyones order. She was so stressed afterward that she had to take a break to talk on the phone.

Dirty.
Really appalled by how dirty this place is, most of all the bathroom. The toilet doesnât look like itâs been cleaned in weeks with dark fecal stains. And the floor was covered in god-knows-what. It takes 2 minutes to scrub a toilet. If theyâre not cleaning that I canât imagine what else theyâre not cleaning.

Very nice place and ambiance. Food was great. Only challenge was in the handwritten menu being different in terms of order of available entrees causing an order of space burgers as opposed to the classic burgers. Ice cream was delicious.

Very poor customer service! Ended up leaving because the women behind the counter was too busy on the phone to help us.
A couple of friends and myself decided to go to Sweet Island for a nice late night meal, instead we were treated like we were peasants and the little short girl working the front register, acted like we were the epitome of all of her anger. We order combo meals, thinking we were going to get a drink, wrong!!! Finally after waiting 20+ minutes for a couple burgers actually let me rephrase, they served us sauce with a side of horse meat. No napkins, no service no drinks, trash, trash, trash go to Wendyâs.

Warrior Knight of Christ
This was my first time there, and the manager and I had a talk, and I was impressed with his down to earth demeanor, and he was an honorable man, and he truly impressed me. I recommend this place to anyone that wants great ice cream quality, good price category, and a nice atmosphere to enjoy it at.
The sweet workers were very kind and had sweet spirits, and the one that helped me was such a sweet young lady, and I was happy to tell her about it and to encourage her to continue being a sweet and thoughtful young lady. I hope much success for her.
I got to sample many flavors, and they all were good. I finally chose the blue panda and the graham cracker crunch, which were both delicious. Hope to go there again soon and highly recommend this store.

When my elderly father who gets easily confused picked up a spoon right in front of him to taste my sisters ice cream, the worker rudely tapped the sign that said dirty spoons. How about a trash can for theâŚtrash..instead of an open container right in front of everyone. I am sure thatâs not the first time that has happened. Then, I asked for a KitKat milkshake (which was displayed on a sign, by itself, as their special) and was told they didnât have KitKats. How about take down the sign? I said thank you to the worker once I received the ice cream I ordered and got no response. Just say youâre welcomeâŚ.Ice cream was good but NOT a good service experience.
Edited to add: we were also planning on ordering food, and when we said that to the same worker, he handed us a piece of paper and said âjust write down what you wantâ. Glad we didnât get food in hindsight because someone in our party had to wait about 10 minutes for a MILKSHAKE. Oh, and mozzarella is spelled wrong on their sign :)
