Food and staff are amazing. Very eclectic diverse menu. Food made with love. Friendly staff. Gorgeous views of the water and fisherman fishing. The place is cozy and has a small bar. We ate breakfast here and had some amazing dishes. Definitely coming back.

Good, not great. First time visit and it was during non-preak hours ~3 PM. Sat for a while before anyone came to our table. Staff is super friendly and made good recommendations. The meatballs are good, but the blueberry on the meatballs feels unnecessary, like an attempt to be fancy. It might have been better if there were less blueberry, but it was heavy and overpowered the meatballs. Something fresh might have been better too. Tasted like blueberry pie filling from a can. Rather than fighting the crowds on a Friday night at Emerald Isle, we made the short drive to Swansboro after seeing so many great reviews for By the Bridge.

For starters, the location is great with beautiful views of the water. There is plenty of outdoor seating if you are traveling with a pet. Our server was fantastic. She checked on us frequently and gave us recommendations from their menu.
