I am so thankful to live on the west side of Cartetet County as it’s only a quick drive to El Catrin. The food, down to the guacamole (get a big bowl if you have teenagers) is amazing and the service is on point. We are constantly traveling due to sports and this restaurant has set the bar so high on Mexican food that even my 11 year old twin daughters judge every other place against this one and they ALL fall short. We ordered the taco bowl salad to go. It didn't disappoint. We enjoyed every bite. The atmosphere is very festive, with Spanish decor and music. It is very clean and inviting, we will definitely eat in next time. Prices are reasonable.

Chicken in quesadillas was dry, chopped meat and bland. Very little cheese inside. Had to top it with the lettuce, sour cream and salsa to make it more palatable. Enchiladas were just ok. First time to eat here. Will try some other local mexican food restaurants.
