Moore's Olde Tyme Barbeque Chicken & Seafood

Was skeptical to go here because of some of the reviews but we decided to take our chances. The chicken and fries were very good! They gave us pork on accident too and it was also good! The customer service was amazing they were really friendly, and my doggy’s birthday is tmr and they gave us a little vanilla ice cream thing for him. Don’t knock something until you try it! The people sre so sweet, and the food was pretty good! :)

This was our first visit and the service from the back counter to the floor was amazing and extremely friendly and welcoming. My husband got the flounder plate and said the flounder was really good, lightly breaded and fried. He was not thrilled about the coleslaw for his side item because the texture was too fine. I ordered the fried shrimp plate and I got a big portion of shrimp which were fried to a crisp golden brown. I didn't care for the mac n cheese which tasted more like something from a stouffers frozen dinner. The green beans, however, had great flavor. All in all this was a good little bbq/fish spot that I would likely visit again but probably get different sides.

I've tried the porkchop plate. Terrible. It was pork butt, very thin, with lots of crust, bones and fat. BBQ sandwich was so dry, I choked to get down, I couldn't eat it. Banana pudding was just regular banana pudding. No bananas, no wafer, just a little coolwhip on top. The only thing I like is the chicken plate. It's just not worth the money. I've wanted to the Trout plate, but now I'm afraid it. I wish it was better.

Got half pint of barbecue to see how i liked it.. so glad I didn't pay for a whole pint because it was off tasting. Hushpuppies were very greasy but they tasted good. Stew was good too. I didn't get the sIaw i ordered but wasn't charged so I let it slide. I'll stick with Smithfield's for bbq. I've been there dozens of times and it's always good.

I've been living in swansboro now for two years. I was excited to have a good bbq rest. Near my house but I have watched the portions get smaller and smaller. Very disappointing to say the least. I got a bbq chick plate . The chicken breast was the size of a quail breast. the sides I could eat in one bite.

Our order came out incorrect. Elijah didn't even give me a chance to get out of my seat. He corrected our order and even brought more condiments when we asked if they had any. This young man turned a 4 star service into a 5 star experience. He went above and beyond! We truly appreciate it! I hope this young man is recognized for his attention to detail concerning customer service.

Foods gross like under seasoned and just everything tasted watered down. Hush puppies weren’t good in the slightest. But service was good so no complaints about that.and I left with hiccups…
