Every time I come to this location they are rude. I don’t get it. I only order things I see on the menu. I ordered a drink I saw on the app and the lady taking my order says “I’ve worked here for years and we don’t sell that”….. ITS ON YOUR APP!

Every time I enter this Starbucks I’m welcomed with an excessive amount of kindness and friendliness from the employees, and it honestly sets the tone before the drink even hits the counter.
A kind barista named Landon helped me understand the drinks and walked me through the perfect order for me, and I was delighted with how it came out and loved my experience here. From now on every time I'm near I will be going to this location, overall great experience other baristas were great and friendly.

Stopped by for hot chocolate and banana bread on 09 November 2025 at 5:07 pm. Not sure of the name of the young lady in drive through at the time but very pleasant. My wife and I had been through different drive though this week and most let's just say were not pleasant like this young woman.
If my wife and I are back that way again we will definitely stop there again. Definitely a breath of fresh air

Edit. Update. I spoke to Hannah about what happened. Her manager is handling the issue and offered a complimentary cup of coffee at my next visit. My Review is Bumped up one star

Learn to make drinks so it's not 80% milk, especially when ordered specifically. Some people actually prefer to taste their COFFEE at a COFFEE SHOP.

On multiple occasions, at least 4 now, I have gone to this location to sit and work on a paper or assignment in their cafe while enjoying a beverage, and they have closed the cafe early with little warning to customers who are present. It’s frustrating to order something to drink/eat, open my laptop and begin working only to be asked minutes later to leave in 2-3 minutes because they are shutting down due to staffing issues. Had I known when I walked in they would be closing the cafe early, I would not have purchased anything and would have left. At least be upfront and give ample notice to people if you already know there will be a shortage of staff members. In general, this location is not great; they are frequently slow and leave customers waiting to order for far too long while multiple people work behind the counter without acknowledging the delay to those waiting. Please remedy these poor customer service practices.

Fastest Starbucks I've ever been to! Usually I have to wait an insane amount of time for just two drinks at Starbucks but not this one. They had them out the window in seconds. Made correctly, quick and with a smile. Pleasantly surprised.

I used to come to this Starbucks, daily Monday through Friday to get 2 cups of water for me and my honey and the service is always friendly and amazing and i go today to get a cup of water for my dog mind you I was willing to pay for this cup of water and I still got denied that I could not purchase a cup of water. I had to purchase bottled water like some people don’t like bottled water that’s Filterded. I don’t I like spring water and then I was informed That if I wanted a cup of water, I had to make a purchase. I am diabetic. I do not drink coffee, but I used to go to This specific Starbucks just to get a cup of water because the service is always amazing and honestly The water did taste really good but after today, I definitely am not going back specially when I offered to pay for my cup of water and still got denied, which freaking blew my mind

This is not an angry review, but I believe in sharing my experiences wherever I go. I’ve hesitated to write this review, but after some issues with orders at the Swansboro Starbucks location, I felt it was necessary to share.

First, let me start with the positive: the store is always extremely clean, and the staff are consistently helpful and friendly. However, I’ve had a few significant issues that have led me to reconsider visiting this location in the future.

I have specific health needs that require me to avoid lactose, so I always order my drinks with oat milk or another dairy-free option. Unfortunately, on Thanksgiving 2024, I ordered a drink with oat milk but was given one with regular milk instead. This mistake led to a very unpleasant and embarrassing experience, as I had a severe reaction (including projectile vomiting at a family gathering), which required me to spend significant time through the day in the bathroom. Despite taking Imodium and other medications, I was unable to find relief on that day. I wish I could say this has been an isolated experience since then with other orders.

On a few separate occasions in the last two months I’ve asked for decaffeinated coffee and received caffeinated coffee. Due to some surgeries and medications, my body can no longer handle the amount of caffeine in regular coffee.

While I genuinely appreciate the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff, these repeated mistakes that affect my health are too significant to overlook. Unfortunately, because of the lack of consistency in fulfilling my orders correctly, I can no longer recommend this location. I’m rating it 2 out of 5 stars.
