We came before 6am. Fresh coffee was made for me. Food was tasty. Cooked nicely. Server was attentive. The coffee stayed topped off. Pleasant experience all around. Except for the ants in the sugar bowl. Didn't mind though, NC is a ripe environment for those pesky critters.

Three friends told me that the Tarboro Waffle House was the best in the area, so today we decided to give them a try. Every table was full and the waiting line was four parties deep. The staff kept things moving, so we didn't really have to wait long. Once seated, Nar took care of us with cheerful, friendly service (and my coffee cup stayed full and hot). Upbeat staff, good service and food, but the temperature inside was WAY too cold to be a pleasant experience. The windows were fogged up as a result. Others were complaining and some
walked in wearing hoodie sweatshirts saying they knew to be prepared. We asked the waitstaff if they were cold and they said they were not. I do not think they cared about their customers, only themselves. Will definitely not be returning to eat here.
