This place a hidden gem! Food was amazing, people were friendly, and the view was beautiful. Great atmosphere overall. Will definitely be ordering some "Pizza by Boat" before I head home.

Recommend 10 out of 10. Had the prime rib on Saturday night, went back next day and had the pimento chicken sandwich. Heard they may clove Nov 3rd for the season. We stayed at the Vanhook tiny home minutes away. ❤️

We stopped here at the end of the day after a long drive to the mountains. We had gotten lost because of lost service and they kindly welcomed us in and let us connect to their wifi to find our route.

Even though it was late and they were closing up, they still took our order and made the best burgers we have had in a long time! Couldn’t recommend this place more!

Friendly staff and fabulous food! The fresh trout was delectable. Our daughter’s Monte Cristo made her smile ear to ear. This gem of a restaurant is a must when in the area.

This place is absolutely amazing. If you are in the area make sure you stop and grab something to eat; even if it’s out of the way it’s worth the trip!

Lake’s End Cafe iced tea was wonderful! The service was friendly. The pimento cheese dip was fresh and served with fresh, crisp veggies and tortilla chips. The Monte Cristo sandwich was HUGE, the ham/turkey was yummy and fries well seasoned and crispy. The view of the water and immaculate grounds was a plus! I would go again!

Parking: It is also a marina so parking can be challenging. There is an additional parking lot across the street but it is limited (and a bit of a “hike” up/down the hill).

Just driving around, never seen Nantahala Lake, so took the "detour", and glad we did! Drove past this little Gem, saw that they were Full on a Sunday afternoon, so it had to be good, RIGHT?!? Ha! And it was! I had the Trout, which was absolutely DELICIOUS, with I think artichokes? (Veg of the day. Something I usually can't stand, but I about finished the whole bowl! My mom barely eats half a sandwich, but she polished off her pulled pork with a quickness! (Sorry, she scraped the mound of coleslaw off, which also looked good, but my fork was already full?, so never thought about trying it myself, as I'm not a fan of it either?).

Some comments say the food was expensive, but I found it to be "about right," especially considering the location!

Will be eating here again!

The food is absolutely delicious! The portions are a large size and you can tell they have taken the time to perfect what they serve. Even on a busy night, once seated we have ordered, eaten and checked out within 50 minutes. The view is so relaxing and pretty. We have tried about half of the things on the menu and have never been disappointed. The ribs are melt off the bone, and sometimes sell out. The house chips are crispy and my favorite side to get(but the season veggies recently were brussel sprouts and so yummy) also make sure you save room for the desserts-soooo tasty. Wish I had taken some photos but we devoured everything before I realized. Also if you happen to be staying on the lake some afternoons they can do boat deliveries!

We came in at 630. We saw they closed at 7. The waitress said it was no issue and sat us. 10 minutes after we sat down we had not even been spoken to. After 15 minutes of watching wait staff ignoring us while looking like goats chewing corn (gum chewing is not pleasant) we left. My wife planned the meal and we drove 45 minutes just to leave. And $13 for a BLT. service should be impeccable

We've been here several times & enjoyed sitting on the back deck overlooking the lake, but suddenly you are very UN pet-friendly & turned many patrons away that had dogs with them. The only place we were allowed to eat with a pet was on the front deck in full sun...unacceptable! We WON'T be back ever again.
