Del sur fresh mex express and taqueria

Our family was just there Monday evening. Our youngest picked del sur for her bd dinner. The gentleman with guitar sung happy bd and dancing queen at our table before we ordered food. Food was good. Thankfully came out fast and hot. Everything was going well. But towards the end of our evening the waitstaff approached our table with a sombrero, ice cream with a candle along several singing happy birthday again which was totally fine but ended it with a large napkin heaped in whip cream smashed in our 11 year old daughters face and hair. The level of shock from us all 😖😳 Her big brothers and dad trying to help the situation by telling her it will be ok. Ultimately she sat there in tears before she and I walked to the bathroom. Staff chuckling along the way. Like WTF. She cried more in the bathroom asking why would they do that. Another customer witnessed what happened and said she was so sorry to my daughter despite having nothing to do with what happened. My husband stayed with 2 of our sons to pay while I left promptly with daughter and another son who was trying hard to make his sister feel better. She had a great day and evening after we got home. Despite the food being good, she has already stated she won’t go back. A place she’s gone with her daddy. With me. One of our lunch spots. Not any more unfortunately.

I love Del Sur in Mooresville but this express location needs some work. We have tried it 4 times now. They are in such a rush, you can't slow them down! They get the order wrong because they are in such a rush, even when they aren't busy. It's hard to understand the workers and we aren't slow to order they just jump into it and just do things you don't want. My sons will not make them do it over they just come home frustrated its not what they wanted. No need to go so fast and don't assume someone knows how your ordering works. It is also on the pricey side for an express.

Found this gem while charging my Tesla. I'm from San Diego and this place is legit. Had an asada burrito and it was delicious. Wife had a quesadilla and it was seriously stuffed. They even have agua frescas which I haven't seen in a while. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area.

This place is a hidden gem! Ohhh my Goood! My husband and I are now regulars (We order takeout 3 or 4 times a week! Lol). The food is really, really tasty, reasonably priced, and the portions are huge! Everything we have tried is 10/10! Today my husband ordered the “Torta with chicken and chorizo” and the size of it is huge! The picture doesn’t make justice of how big it is. Give them a try!

Nothing else even comes close!!

This restaurant has become my wife and I’s guilty pleasure. Every single visit the food has been SO good that it always catches us by surprise. We make the drive up from mooresville to get our fix as nothing comes close (including the Del Sur in Mooresville). Keep up the phenomenal work guys!!

Really really outstanding food and well priced. Hidden gem adjoining gas station. I had one shrimp street taco with mango pico de Gallo and a chicken taco with same, cucumbers, radishes, and they have a salsa bar. Will definitely make it my go to Mexican in the area. Also they serve beer and margaritas.

Our server was absolutely awesome and the food was as well. We are from PA but every time we come even close to Mooresville, we stop there for a meal. We love the salsa bar and the environment is always enjoyable. Our son is getting married this weekend and our server took the time to make them feel special!!

I have visited several times and once again, I was not disappointed. This time, I ordered a carnitas burrito. Added rice, beans, guacamole and green salsa. The taste was spot on, the portion ginormous and a bit messy. Had to use a fork and a knife but worth the work.
Stop by when traveling through via interstate 77 or when charging your EV at the available super charger on the property.
