We went tonight for the first time in several years, and I’m sad to say it wasn’t like we remembered. I had the flounder, and it had no flavor. The green beans didn’t have the flavor that I remember either. The server was attentive until it was about time for them to close and we asked for our check and a to go box. Even after asking for the check, we still had to go to the register and have them get our check. I was also disappointed that, as much as they charge for their food, they don’t take cards for payment. I’m not saying we won’t go back and try again, but it will definitely be a while.

Wonderful, quaint dining experience! If you're looking for great seafood with a family style menu... this will become your favorite!
Vegetarian options: Veggies are long-time recipes and very tasty.
Parking: You enter the main lot with plenty of spaces. You can drive across a covered bridge crossing the Pacolet River to access more parking, including handicapped spaces next to the restaurant.
Kid-friendliness: Family style restaurant, of course it's kid friendly!
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy, accessible with ramp next to parking spaces

Fried chicken was good. Macaroni salad was basic, slaw tasted more like sauerkraut, biscuits were room temp, green beans were like canned with a little extra help. Seated 45 minutes after rsvp time. Never got a refill on green beans. Ran out of water. Waitress was very attentive to some regulars seated by us, just not to us

Ok, we read the reviews and we definitely wanted to love this place. We had found the restaurant years ago, but we waited for a special occasion. We had out of town guests, so we thought taking them here would be a special treat. The outside views with the stream, bridge and mountains are stunning. However, overall the food was a major disappointment. First, I grew up in the south and what was served was not slaw. This was basically cabbage with vinegar....period....it was extremely strong. One of our guests had the ribeye for $28. The meat was super thin and lacked any flavor. Really, I honestly had never seen such a poor quality cut, and I was embarrassed. I had the fried chicken. It was OK, but I have frankly gotten better from the Ingles deli. My husband had the chicken breast which he said was just dry. Our other guest did get fried shrimp which she said was good. Overall, we were just extremely disappointed. Of course, we have the experience, but we will never return. The only redeeming quality of the place is the view. Considering the price of these meals, it is not worth the drive.

This was a great little find in the middle of nowhere it felt. There are great views of the stream here and an awesome covered bridge. The service was very good. I had the livers for an appetizer and thought they were really good. The cole slaw and pasta salad was really good too. We had the ribeye for dinner. The steak wasn't bad but it did take a star from the place. I would probably go back and its definitely worth stopping to just hear the stream.
Parking: Plenty of parking out front. Just a small walk from there to inside. You can also pull up front and drop elderly people off.
Wheelchair accessibility: Nice ramp to make it inside. Plenty of tables for a wheelchair to sit at.

This restaurant is a delight each time we eat here. Family style servings of side dishes in addition to the chosen entree. The Rainbow Trout is excellent!
Parking: There's plenty of parking available, but the front is always full. Visitors tend to overlook the parking in the back, accessible by the covered bridge across the river.
This is a beautiful place but it's the worst food I have ever had or seen. Took my family of 4 and my wife had fried flounder. It was extremely over cooked and there was almost no meat inside of the puffy dry outside. My son got the trout because we thought a mountain restraunt would have good trout. Boy were we wrong, it was a whole trout sliced in half lying on plate with skin down! It looked very dry and was a light green color. He was afraid to eat it period! I had the slaw and it was absolutely the worst slaw I've ever tasted. Did not eat it as it was very sour bitter tasting. I could go on but I'm getting nausea just writing this. Over 100 bucks for the worst food we ever had in a restraunt in our lives and we are not young!
Very nice place with a beautiful location beside the river. Food was very good and service superb.
