Service was sad from the moment we walked in the door to the time we left. Food quality was pretty gross. The flies had a good time. Refills on water almost had to be begged for. Acoustics were horrible. Don't get me wrong, the place was packed and every child in town was there. We do miss Mr Juan.

Vegetarian options: Excellent Vegetarian selection my husband and I are regulars this is an excellent Mexican restaurant the waiters and every employee are very pleasant and professional at what they do. Orders are fast and hot I highly recommend El Sureno in Tryon.

Food was hot and just Mexican,maybe more on the bland side. The men server's were polite, but the short hair lady needs to understand when she is speaking in Spanish there may be 1 in our group can actually speak Spanish and understood all the names she called me and my grown children.

The attention here to customer is very bad. They are not kid friendly. But you get what you pay for.

Upon entering the smell was overwhelmingly PHENOMENAL! I've been in several but none have smelled this good when we entered! The bathrooms, booths and silverware were all clean with no spots or blemishes. The food was outstanding, seasoned to perfection and good portions! Even the lemon water was clean tasting. Really enjoyed will definitely return. My husband and three children all enjoyed their food and our waiter was fabulous as well.
Kid-friendliness: My three were welcomed as well as the other children we seen.
