Though this is a Seafood establishment, they have a great burger. On Thursdays they have a special burger deal. I have enjoyed one better burger after another. This week, however, was exceptional!! I have had burgers in at least 30 states, this particular flavor profile was in the TOP 3 all time!! I do not make this statement lightly. This was their Shanghai Burger special. The ingredients, in my opinion, would never have found their way to a burger “I’m” eating. Tai chi, wasabi, siracha mustard, provolone, and coarse pepper to name a few items on this burger. The combination was indescribable. Again, I was amazed by Chef Matt’s creation. And, they can recreate their special’s anytime. Great job!!

My wife and I ate dinner here last night based on a previous visit where we ate brunch - not terrible - but above par. We learned from the manager at that time, that they served a variety of seafood and how good it all was. Being a New Englander and longing for real seafood we decided to try it last night. It was horrible. The service, the food, and the prices. After we ordered drinks, we started with appetizers - calamari and oysters on the half shell. My wife asked for mignonette sauce. They did not know how to make it and it was proven out when it came to the table- HOT - when it should have been made ahead of time, refrigerated for a day or two and served cold - SOP. It tasted lousy. Next came the calamari which was very salty (who salts calamari?) and the breading was crumbling all over. Above it all, the appetizers came but there were NO PLATES! We actually had to ask for plates that came dripping wet -apparently from the sink. The horrible food parade continued. After the appetizer mess, we made the mistake of ordering dinner. Thankfully, we decided to split a dish - the fish and chips. The breading was too thick and basically fell apart while the fish was extremely watery and had no substance or flavor. It came with a baked potato and sadly, that was actually the best part of the dinner, but marginally so. Oh by the way, the dinner, like the appetizer, came without plates. The bill with tip was $85. I’ve never spent that much for such a poor quality meal that was way over priced. It’s a place you eat at but at least know the risks.

From the beginning the waiter was so great . We ordered the oysters Rockefeller and then I ordered halibut and it was so good and moist. My husband got the lobster roll and he loved it. Everything was cooked perfect. I plan to come back when we are up this way. Highly recommend

We had a great meal last night! Pecan encrusted trout, mahi, and fish and chips were all done perfectly. None of the fish was overdone and excellent seasonings. Nice to find a place that doesn't oversalt! My only suggestion is having a more relaxed music selection.

K.D.’s Sea Shack is an absolute gem! The conch chowder was rich and flavorful, the oyster Rockefellers were on point, and the crab cakes were packed with sweet, tender meat and hardly any filler. On top of the amazing food, our bartender/server Joe made the experience even better—he was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of from start to finish. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere—I’ll definitely be back!

We went to KD Sea Shack for dinner on a Saturday evening. We were greeted as we entered. The service was great and the food was delicious. All for a very reasonable price. We will definitely go back
Our family had a great experience. We went for our daughter’s 11th birthday and she had the best birthday dinner of her life. Our server was so kind, attentive, and patient that it felt like we were the only people there (we weren’t, they were busy). The musician was amazing, and the food was great.
Here is why I will come back again and again. Our server interacted with our children to make sure everything was good and that they were happy, then he (unbeknownst to us) coordinated with the musician to have the entire place sing “happy birthday” to our daughter, THEN brought out a piece of key lime pie with a candle in it (thanks Reggie my brother)!
The food was great, the atmosphere was fabulous, and the service was impeccable.

2nd time eating here in last year. Service is great, but consistently does not have multiple things especially scallops! Ordered Mahi Mahi and was supposed to come with mango salsa but did not. Portion was smaller than a small frozen piece. Macaroni salad did not seem fresh. Coleslaw was pretty good. What makes it bad is that the bill was crazy high!

We were greeted by a very nice gentleman and welcomed like we were coming into his home. He was very nice and welcoming. Then we sat down and had a wonderful waitress that explained the menu and suggested some great food. This was our first time dining there. We will definitely be back.

Went Saturday after a day outdoors in Hendersonville and I’m so glad I stopped in. Was craving good seafood and the menus outside caught my attention with the lobster Mac and cheese. Best meal I have had in a long while!! Ally and Joe were so super nice and I made sure to let them know I would return with other guests and I will be sharing the name of this restaurant going forward as a great one to try.
