We have been here a few times awhile ago and everything was great. We went last night for dinner and to hear an amazing band. The band was awesome and our server was very sweet. However, this was the worst meal we've ever had anywhere. We were so looking forward to a nice dinner out and this was far from it. Should've read the reviews 1st. Everything was horrible. We started with the lobster Mac n cheese app which we've had before. It was so watery, barely had any lobster and there was some weird chewy something in it. Then came my side salad. I took a bite and told my husband to try it. We both thought it tasted very odd. Kind of like soapy. Then came his fish and chips w a side of broccoli. The fish and fries were over cooked and clearly the oil hadn't been changed in a very long time. Then there was my $35 crab legs and about 5 pieces of asparagus. The crab legs were the skimpiest thing we've ever seen. Tasteless and very rubbery. The asparagus of course was also gross, very mushy. We both felt sick all evening. So disappointed.

Had dinner there last night. The oysters on the half shell were about as big as my thumbnail. When I mentioned how small they were to the server, she said, "but they're from Chesapeake." Also had asparagus that was mushy and average fried shrimp. The bar is a pleasant place to have a libation and chat with friends, but the food needs a lot of work.

Just moved to the area and decided to stop here and eat. I will say the staff was friendly and the service was great having said that the food was qay over priced and was terrible. I has the steak and it had no flavor. My wife had the oysters witch were also had zero flavor and very rubbery. Our son had the crab legs they just tasted slaty zero flavor. I spent 128 dollars on crap food will never return.

Kim and Joe were outstanding. The food, not so much. The raw oysters were great and the homemade cheesecake too. However, the snowcrab was frozen and defrosted too many times, the shells were real rubbery. The Filet Mignon was very tender, HOWEVER, it was not seasoned, was about a half inch thick, and was virtually flavorless. The lobster roll is what I asked to replace it and while it was tender and hot, it lacked the sweetness of lobster. They tried very hard to make things right but i had a taste for surf and turf tonight. We were celebrating my birthday and I left disappointed. Again, the service was great. Kim was attentive and Joe was very nice too.

My friend and I visited Tryon like we do about every 3 weeks or so. We met the manager of K.D.'s sweeping the sidewalk and he invited us in. Glad he did, as the food was excellent. I had the fish and chips and loved it. We'll be back.

All the staff were nice but the Sunday food was awful. Shrimp and grits 16$ The shrimp rubbery the sauce was slimy and tasteless, the grits themselves were the best part but at most there was a cup of them maybe.
