My wife and me stopped at The Burger Barn for lunch, on the way home from The VA. And we are so glad we did. My wife's patty melt was very well put together and delicious. And my burger was so good I had to get another. The atmosphere and wonderfull customer service was like back in the 70's when we were first married. And Jessica at the counter is absolutely a National Treasure.

I grew up in Union Grove. Back then we called it the 'booger barn' because the food was greasy and bad. The staff was always the local high school kids who purposely messed up your order if they didn't like you. I moved from there and we fast forward 20-something years in the future. Took my family there this past summer after my oldest sons summer camp ended. They have definitely redeemed themselves. Food was very good. The price for 4 people was very reasonable. The staff was actually grown up adults (for that day anyway) which is a nice change in pace from what I remember. I feel I can finally recommend this place. The newspaper clips and articles posted next to the restrooms about the areas past was a plus. The Nascar decor must have been taken down a while back so that was different.
