My son and I visited the Dairy Queen in Lumbarton, SC. The store is adjacent to Atkinson's. The weather was colder than usual, but the warm words and friendly greetings of the staff was a comfort in the winter storm. We ordered ice cream: me, a chocolate sundae (my favorite comfort food while traveling, since childhood), and my son ordered a blizzard (DQ's famous). They took cash, and have back change, exactly, sending us merrily on our way home. Thank you, Dairy Queen. Your brand advertising on the road side, with bright directions to your store, helped us get the refreshment we needed while abroad.

We have absolutely loved this dairy Queen compared to its nearby competition. However tonight has left me conflicted if I ever return or not. I was trying to order online and was having issues with my internet, I thought anyway. Now I wonder if it was just being blocked. (Pictures attached). We arrived at 8:18. We noticed the chairs were on top of the table which we understand they close at 9:00 so they were starting to clean. (I've worked in restaurants my entire life you don't do that until your establishment is closed but anyway not my establishment). The door was already locked to our disappointment, when the young girl working saw this she ran and pulled the red tape that separates the establishment from the gas station. Not sure if this is regular protocol maybe something happened tonight that made them to have to close early but a sign would have been nice or a FYI on the website would have been even better being we drove from Dunn North Carolina which is a good 20 plus minutes just to eat here. We could have went three exits up from our exit versus the 12 we drove to eat here and saved lots of gas. Instead of Atkinson's getting our usual fill up for the week on our vehicles the Shell station got our money for gas and Subway got our money for food. VERY DISAPPOINTED!! REGARDLESS if your busy or not honor your time you share with the public!!

The workers were really nice here! They brought our food to the table hot and fresh. There was ample seating on the restaurant side of the convenience store. We really enjoyed our visit!

good food, good service, clean store. only word of advice is don’t go after 5pm if you want the white gravy. they stop making it around 4pm it seems and usually run out by 7pm.

The customer service was impeccable. Their app did not offer sweet tea so I called during one of their busiest times and the manager was sweet enough to take my order, fulfill it and call me back to confirm it.

All diet sodas were out, fries were not hot, was rang out for pretzel rods that I didnt order, asked if I just wanted them or be refunded, but it would be a whole thing. Said we would just take the pretzels. Wanted some honey mustard and ranch dipping sauces for the fries but was told I would need to pay extra. Was in the middle of a 12 hour driving stretch and didnt feel like arguing. Don't think I should be paying for sauces when already had to pay extra for something I didnt order. I like DQ and was excited for a grill and chill as there isn't one near my home but was unfortunately disappointed

Apparently summer ended early, they still have all these blizzards on display yet it isn't even labor day and they say they aren't selling there summer blizzards, even though they are still advertised. If you not going to sell something don't display it and misinform customers please.
