When I got to Back Fins I had to use the restroom as I traveled over and hour to check this place out, love some good sea food..Get there somebody is in restroom..said ok I'll wait...ended up going and setting down and ordering dinner..still waiting on restroom...man was in there for 35 min...now I know why....immediately after leaving my stomach and my wifes stomach started grummbling...got home, 4 hours latter stomach still feeling uneasy...then all night got the water shits......stomach still hurting this morning....saved some of the food to have checked , and really thinking about calling lawyer today...never going back!!!! Alot of good reviews on here makes me think they have alot of friends and family trying to make them look good...or Sunday just isn't the day to eat at this place....need chef Ramsey to run through this place....oysters smelled lil funny too.....just sayin seems to be alot of people claiming to be from the crab capital, md...kinda strang...when you want to say your a sea food specialist, just say your from Md..lol.... and if you want to go broke getting dinner this is the place...me and my wifes bill came to $194.00...outrageous......crab cakes were 14$ a piece....no wonder there are no prices on menu....bunch of bs

After reading all the reviews and viewing the pictures we couldn’t wait to go. Since I was born and raised very close to Maryland, I too know good seafood but…. I was pretty disappointed as so was my husband. The stuffed scallops were delicious & hot, the broiled oysters were cold in the middle as mushy. My husband’s combo platter with fried flounder & fried oysters was served hot , the flounder was delicious but the fried oysters were mostly breading and over fried and chewy. I ordered the Steamed platter with crab legs, shrimp,oysters,clams red potato’s and corn on the cob…. The warmest thing on my platter was the clarified butter! Crab legs were seasoned but cold & over cooked, shrimp barley seasoned and cold as if just brought out of the fridge and the tops of them mushy as well,red potatoes cold and had no seasoning not even salted, corn the same, oysters Luke warm and mushy unshucked screams past their prime to serve . Yes the pan seared cab cakes were good as well. Now with all that said our check was $194.00 before tip( service was fast and friendly) Prices are not on the menu! I hate to say the food simply was not worth the money. 2 people can eat at an All-You-Can-Eat seafood restaurant for less than that! Truly disappointed for being our first visit.

I placed a takeout order with this restaurant on 11/15/2024 and the scallops I ordered were very gritty to the point I could not eat them. I tried calling the restaurant to make them aware of what I had experienced, but was unable to speak with anyone, because by the time my order had gotten to me, I guess they had closed! The next day I did call back to let them know what I had experienced! Up front I let the person I spoke with know that I WAS NOT LOOKING FOR A REFUND!! I just wanted to make them aware of the gritty Scallops I purchased from their restaurant. I also mentioned to her that I had rather tell them about it instead of writing a review, thinking that she would highly appreciate it!! Instead she said to me “ you can make a review” I nicely stated to her I know I can and I will be writing one regarding my terrible experience!!! The person that I spoke with didn’t mention anything about an apology nor did she say I will need to find out from the cook what happened or why were your Scallops so gritty! She had the nerve to ask me did I eat them! I guess that was a trick question! Lol! I nicely let her know that I put them in the Trash Can!!! I Called back to get the person I spoke with name, so I could put it in this review. I was given the name Dawn! I was also told that the person I spoke with was the Owner!!!!! One of the Most unconcerned Owner I’ve ever spoken to!! SMH!!!!! I will no longer patronize this business!!!!!!!

Delicious food in a beautiful location. Wait staff was a little slow but efficient.
This is the best seafood place around in the area. The waiters and staff are very friendly. The food is delicious and there is usually enough to have leftovers. The staff and waiters are very friendly and the food comes out relatively fast. Very nice place to eat dinner and the outside seating is very nice.

First time dining here and wasn't pleased with the experience. Enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant, service was OK. My main issue is that they do not clean the peel and eat shrimp. I have never been to any other restaurant that does this. Couldn't eat the peel and eat shrimp due to the fact of them not being cleaned whatsoever. Asked waitress about the shrimp and she informed us they don't clean them and offered nothing in its place. Best items we had were hushpuppies and pickle fries. Non of which are seafood. Won't be returning

Very happy with our experience here. Our friendly waitress was helpful and stayed right on top of things. Casual place with very high quality seafood. Raw oysters were very good, well selected and shucked nicely. Pasta with shrimp was delicious. Very nice garlicky sauce that complimented the blackened shrimp perfectly. Snow crabs were great, served with a nice coleslaw. Will definitely be back!

Excellent fried pickles, parm fried oyster appetizer. Peel& eat shrimp sweet but difficult to peel. Great coleslaw. Hush Puppies too sweet for me. Adequate parking. Handicap available. Staff very courteous and attentive.
