“We have been looking at the possibility of moving to the Wake Forest area and decided to pop into this local Bar and Social Club downtown. What an amazing place. With a very relaxed vibe, great service, and a true local feel – the drinks were the real treat. The carefully curated cocktail menu provides some exciting classics with a very sophisticated mix of ingredients to elevate each cocktail to a new level beyond my expectations. With live music every week – I can’t wait to move to the area and become a regular at this local spot!“

“My 2nd time. Locally owned. Owner from New Orleans area which would explain the crayfish etoufee dish. Alcohol is the same everywhere but the food is what makes the difference. Phenomenal food with generous portions. A classic neighfborhood bar / hangout. I'll be back for a third time.“

“This was our first time trying Gonza’s, and the food was amazing. However, I did feel rushed. My daughters were still eating, yet we were asked several times if they wanted a box, and the check was placed on the table before they had finished. I didn’t appreciate that, as it made my daughters uncomfortable and discouraged them from finishing their meal. While the food was great, I’ll keep looking for a place that offers both good food and good customer service. On a positive note, the manager who came over to collect my payment was nice, which I did appreciate.“

“My family and I recently celebrated my June birthday at Mellow Mushroom in Wake Forest. The entire staff was friendly, every person we passed spoke to us, and our server Lilly was an absolute delight. We had wings, cheese pizza, a calzone, and a gluten free Kosmic Karma that were all of exceptional quality. Lilly even surprised me with a (free!) birthday pretzel in the shape of a flower because I mentioned how my father and I love lillies and flowers after she introduced herself. That was incredibly thoughtful and it honestly made my day. My dad wasn't half way through lunch and was making plans to return for his own birthday.. in April.. but I'm willing to bet we make it back to see you guys before then! “We were sat down and the first thing I noticed was our waitress was so shapely. we ordered wings and they had so many choices. I recommend getting one level hotter than you normally would. none of the wings were as hot as the waitress. my wings were good and my friend loved his boneless wings. the only complaint he had was the boneless wings had what I belive were possum bones in it. the food was delicious but I could hardly think with our waitress running around“
