Very loud, but the food was great! Exactly what you want at a breakfast place
Highly recommend
Great omelets for breakfast. Waffles, pancakes, and lunch items
In my humble opinion, this is the best place in Raleigh for breakfast or lunch. I go there at least once a week. The quality of the food is consistently outstanding. The servers and people that work in the restaurant are very dedicated to providing excellent service. Most of them have work there a long time, and that tells you a lot. And it seems that everyone in the surrounding communities knows about Brigs and rates them as highly as I do.
Love the food. Busy place, and be prepared for a wait, before getting a table. This restaurant has breakfast for everyone. Fruit fresh or for toppings, omelet, waffles, eggs Benedict, and more. My favorite is the Shrimp and grits. Every visit our order is ready quickly and the staff is friendly. The only thing I would say that could be improved on is the check-in and out process. The area is very tight and congested. It would be nice if we could pay at the table and not have to stand in line blocking others coming through.
In 2012 I went to Brigs for the first time with a large party of 15. I remember the delicious food and flawless service. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed in our recent visit. Our waitperson was working hard but she didn’t have the ability to recognize what we needed and provide it without our prompting her. It was a holiday weekend and they were clearly understaffed. Getting drink refills took much longer than it should have. We were a party of 6 and 4 of us were nearly finished with our meals before the last two, who had the simplest orders, were served.
The food itself was mediocre at best. The eggs were flavorless and the grits were cold. I will say the Belgian waffle with a warm peach topping was good. Overall, not worth the 30 minute drive nor the price. I will not be returning nor recommending.
Tabitha was our friendly and attentive waitress. Our breakfast was Eggsalent! The Pecan pancake was Devine!! 😍 I had the Alpine omelette with fresh fruit & hubby had the Garden omelette with home fries! They were so good we got an extra order, they are made with sautéed onions that give an extra boost of flavor! Everything was delicious. Highly recommend and WILL BE BACK!
Good prices and enjoyable food. The waitress was helpful with her suggestions. We noted senior citizens tend to frequent this place.

5 stars! Came to town for a wedding, and the groom said Brigs was a must for breakfast. He wasn’t lying. I had Dania as my sever who was awesome, super friendly, and on top of everything. I thought I was done eating but kept going because everything was just too dang good. Eggs, sausage, homefries, a pancake, toast, coffee - all perfect. Snapped a couple pics but they don’t do it justice. Definitely coming back!

New review: Stopped in to get my usual pancake combo. Got the pumpkin pancakes and they were good. When I got the check I almost fell on the floor. The combo with regular pancakes is normally $7.49, but now is $10.99 with pumpkin pancakes. $2.50 more. The cashier and her "supervisor" said that was the price but was sorry there was no sign stating the price. Been going here 8 to 10 years and this is unacceptable.

Great place for breakfast. Coffee is very good. Prices are good.
Update and find very interesting. On October 8th I visited Briggs restaurant once again and ordered pumpkin pancakes. The early bird special before 11:00 a.m. is $8.99. they now charge $4 more for pumpkin pancakes. This is totally outrageous. Tried contacting Briggs directly twice and have yet to hear anything and no one at the restaurant can tell me why. I guess I've learned my lesson I won't be going there again I've been going there for almost 10 years or more.

Today was the 2nd time I have gone to Brigs. Both times were not the best. 1st time they kept forgetting to bring out parts of our order. This time it Was worse. The Waitress confused me with my order I read the description on the menu and had decided what I wanted. Then she said I got 2 sides wich is not what the menu says. Part of our order came out late. The Ruben Sandwich is lacking in Corn Beef and was drenched in Thousand Island Dressing. If you look up they have parts of the ceiling falling apart right over your food above the table. Then trying to pay takes forever. While your waiting in line to pay your constantly being bumped into by other guests as there is no room for high traffic. Bathroom smells like they have a plumbing issue( Mildewey wetsmell). This Restaurant needs to be better organized and need better management that is wanting to improve the Restaurant.
